Are rocks heavy or what ?

Thought you guys might find this interesting. I found the top of a rock sticking up out of a pasture years ago while clipping weeds with a cycle bar mower. I got off of the tractor to remove rock with a pry bar that we carried and the rock came out of ground very easily. The rock is about the size of a basketball and is somewhat round. Boy was I surprised when I went to pick it up. I thought it must have been a chunk of cast iron. Rolled it off into ditch and years later went and hauled it to house to weigh it. Weighs 135#s. Several people have told me it might be a meteorite. I do not know although it doesn't resmble any of the rock that is normally found here.

Theres a new TV show called Meteorite Men, they find them things everywhere. Worth money too.

It would be interesting to see if a magnet is attracted to it.

The rock is at dad's place and every time I go there I forget about checking rock with magnet to see if it has iron in it. Will try to get it done and reply back.

Simple way to move rocks, three tractors, backhoe, dump truck, and 8K dump trailer. NO wife.
