Hooked up a friends trailer (to his county van), plugged in the lights(4 pin flat), no trailer lights, but one reverse light on the van came on. Turned out that the van wiring harness ground was messed up, along with the other reverse light. Re did the van plug so the ground went straight to the frame. Fixed the problem. I would guess the bad reverse light either has a short or a broken socket to allow that kind of feedback, but that is a problem for his county mechanic to fix. Good to have lights on a black cargo trailer for a 6 hr ride home at night. Grounds are always fun :laughing:
