So a blade on the outside rotor popped free and hit the middle rotor. It’s happened in the past. This time I did not catch it and it must have ripped the metal free. I restarted and it stated to pull itself apart. Thankfully it’s wet as heck here cause the shower of sparks was pretty impressive.

It gives you a chance to take it apart and inspect it, some new blades, bolts and hub. Sharpen/balance the old ones and keep them ready.

That's a welded shaft in the centerpiece. If it's similar to my smaller model, there are lug bolts on the top side.

Farm lost the bush hog gearbox yesterday mowing 8 hours of waste high grass on the slopes...

Plenty of oil but maybe the slope contributed as the box was very hot...

It may well be a reason to add some mesh to your ROPS. It could still tear a hole in the mesh, but perhaps not your body.
