Want to build a tiller 6 feet wide or so
Should I go PTO powered or hydraulic. If hydraulic can I just use hydraulics from tractor
TN75. If hydraulic, can motor shaft directly turn tiller
Or should the be a chain drive.

Just buy a GOOD QUALITY 3 point pto tiller...

IF you buy good quality like Kuhn or Howard or the better Maschio models, it will last thousands of acres, with just maintenance and replacement of wear out items.

Not at all, GOOD used tillers can be bought cheaper than building one of equal quality, and maybe the OP didn't know that.

SO I offered a friendly suggestion/opinion.....

I would hope someone would do the same for me...

I'm following. Peaked my curiosity.

The OP is up in a MAJOR potato growing area. What type of soil, how deep, acres you plan on tilling, and reasoning that you want something other than a factory manufactured product? Your tractor would need power beyond to run a hydraulic tiller and you will need some hydraulic cooling if you plan on running it very long too. A 3pt version would be easiest.
