I know of no repair manual for the shuttle cluck, but I do have the exploded-view parts manual, which is part of the dozer parts manual. I can email you the pdf file if you like.
Well, I will acquiesce for the sake of brevity.
Metal against metal without lubrication is wrong. Here is the Yuchai steering clutch. The early steering clutches had riveted friction media, the later have the bonded sintered bronze composite which are considerably thinner, hence seven instead of five. #15 is just a spacer/washer. You have to remember that many parts sales people have never even seen the parts they are selling.

Hi All,
Rather than start a new thread i thought that it was better to continue this one as it is the closest i have found that is the same as what i have been going through.
I am located in Australia and working on an East Wind YCT-306 3 Ton Bulldozer also known by many other names.
The dozer has had a steering problem sometimes it would have no drive on one side, and when you did get it to engage it would feel as if it had a bearing failure (notchy)
So far i have lifted the ROPS and removed the gearbox from the clutch housing out the back of the unit. I have also removed the final drive units.
Hoping that some more people have done this and interested in there input.
Pictures so far,

Hi Mark Rawlins here, I have a 1995 JLW-D2 that I need to repair
and I made the mistake of lending it to a friend, who had a problem with it and took it apart, and I finally got all the pieces back -- and a year later I finally got it rebuilt and running -- Sort of
MY PROBLEM, the left steering clutch will not disengage, when I started the dozer and checked the Oil it was completely dry, so I assume the clutch assembly has basically "siezed up" I have the owners manual that show all the parts,
MY QUESTION, does anyone know how I get to the clutch assembly to take it apart? I assume I have to take off the track and the drive sprocket? Is that right?
Hi Bob. I have a DH326ST dozer that looses power/forward motion after about 30min of use. Trying to figure out if there is an issue with the forward/reverse valve or the shuttle clutch. Any assistance you can lend with parts, manuals or advice would be greatly appreciated! It could be a Guilin then. Is it a two or three cylinder engine?
If it's a three cylinder, then you better snap up that clutch set that Chip has on eBay. You aren't going to find these at NAPA!![]()

What about it? Do you have one?what about this website:shantuibulldozers.com
hi bob.. how do you get to the clutch and brake bands without open heart surgeryWow! You didn't have to take it down that far just for steering clutches and brake bands. Yes, all the friction material has become saturated for sure. Not worth the time to try and clean it, because you can't. The new clutch discs you get will probably be a bonded sintered bronze composite which can be cleaned. Also check the clutch plates for wear and warpage, these can be reused if they qualify. Circle-G Tractors, Keno Tractor, and Northern Tool are just a few of the dealers that stock parts.
