How much harder is it usually to turn with the pods vs. regular wheels?

Not sure what you mean by "harder to turn". This new machine has electric power assist steerage so its quite easy to steer.

With pods on and moving forward, it still steers pretty easy. More difficult when you try tight radius and in snow, somewhat like a skid steer acts in sand.

Yesterday I dumped air from the center axle tires and I decreased those struts preload. I took off the weights from the machines front and test drove around the yard and it steered much better. That is it turned, instead of skidding the front tires. Gee, this machine is indeed built heaveir duty than the Polaris is.

I'm home since its raining out today so I moved and unboxed some plow parts.

Oh my gosh, this plow weights twice what the Moose plow did we had on our Boss (Polaris 6x6)

Its a 72" version which are made for side-by-side machines.

I got the plastic skid plate removed in preparation of adding the plow mount. So far I am impressed with the plow. Looks like I can add trip springs to it without any hassle.

I tried one last week, exactly the same as this one. I was impress on how smooth it was in rough terrain and it is really good in the mud there is not a side by side or quad that can follow this thing. It is really low gear compare to a 4x4 Outlander so power won't be a issue. The only disadvantage I found was the turning radius but you can't have it all ... I am very tempted to get one as well ...

They will steer after its suspension is adjusted. I'm no genus but on all the 6x6 forums, I here these same comments. All we need to do is lesson the PSI and strut preload on the center axle. I'm still making adjustments on this new machine to improve its steerage but it has been greatly improved. I'm surprised that Can-am mentioned nothing about these adjustments in the manual....

interesting ... well evidently the longer a vehicle is the greater its turning radius become .... center axel ?? is these adjustment would lower the wheel to ground contact pressure off the center axel ? I would expect making adjustment to lessen the contact off the rear wheels and not the center wheels would reduce the turning radius not... or I my not understanding the result of these adjustment ? I would like to know so I can translate this message to my cousin (the 6x6 that I tried last week)

Since we need to have one axle sliding some, I thought the center axle would be best at that. The turning radius was lessened because the front wheels skidded straight less..

ha I see ... you increased the front wheels ground contact, that make sense ... I am wondering what would be more effective, that or doing it to the rear wheels to lower their ground contact so the rear wheels slide instead of the front wheels ... if you are loaded or pulling something your way is better for sure tho... regardless it good to know thank,

BRP doesn't seem to think users need tailgate cables, or something to hold it level when open. Just added some cables so this can be used as a work platform when pole-sawing trees.
