How long did the switch over take ?
Quite a while. This is the first time on for them and Soucy (or BRP) is not doing well with there instructions. Next time will be be fast, like 2 hours.

Pretty much like wheels, only more difficult. Then there's the anti rotation hardware and some have a steering limiter and complexity varies with every model and make of the recieving machine.
I have to imagine that Arly's rig with 2 axles on the rear adds some difficulty also. But he's got to be a pro by now.👍

Sorry to step on you Arly, I thought that this would be the same as the last one.
I use a regular automotive lift for the machine, and a hydraulic "scissors table" to raise the tracks to the machine. But you've got twice as much to line up on the rear end as I do.

We switch over our Honda Pioneer to tracks but it is a pain, left them on this year but didn't use it much either.

Minor update. With snow on the ground I've been working to finishing the snow plow and should be able to photos of it installed soon. Do need it. :)

Couple questions having never used pods or owned a tandem rear ATV,
#1are the rear differentials locked or open?
#2 assuming you have the option to electronically lock the front differential are or can the pods be run with locked differentials on all three axles? What's the steering ability I'm assuming it has electric power assist? Anyways that's a very impressive machine and I'm only asking to enrich my knowledge of 6x6 ATVs, from someone that actually owns one.

These are good questions Jeff and I'll address them to the best of my ability... The rear axles are powered and connected to each together all of the time. I believe they are open type axles. People do run pods and forget to putting it into 4wd (6 really) and won't even notice that, until they get into serious snow.

Yes it has power assist steering and that a real plus while doing slow stuff like snow plowing. Not really needed while going fast, like 15 and anything above.

We have waves of lake snow blowing through here today, so I finnaly got the plow mounted on da 6x6. Ya, she can push snow. o_O

In this photo, you can see I doubled up the trip springs. In the last plow I had 6 of them and it finally worked well..

Arly, Can I come live at your house in the winter? I am so envious of your winter season and the bountiful snowfall. Perhaps I should check out properties for sale in Buffalo New York.

We used the Outmax yesterday to move trailers in snow so they are out of the way for the winter. Can't seem to make the outlander spin, its traction is much greater than the bosses. Its a heavier machine and track lugs are a tad taller.

Do the rear pods bolt to both rear axels or is one unused?

The pods are attacked to both axles, but just the front one has drive cogs on it. Holding onto tracks takes lots when you are cornering or turning so pods need to be well attached. This is the old pods I sold this summer, but they are very similar.

I'm heading out to the trails shortly since I just loaded the beast. I of course will take some photos for you guys. Seems we have a bit over a 1 foot on the ground now but the logging road we groom lose it because of all the water on them. We've had such a wet fall here. :(
