2022 Bronco sport review

So everyone still happy with their Bronco Sport?
Now I'm thinking of getting one.

I found a used loaded 2022 Badlands, low mileage but they want $35,000 Canadian.
Thinking I'm better off to just pay the 50 for a brand new 2025 Badlands.

Only looking at the Badlands because I want the 4 cylinder engine, not the 3 cylinder all the other ones at dealers have.
Didn't realize the exchange rate until I read your post. 1 Canadian dollar equals 73 US cents. I thought 50k sounded high but I guess not so much.

I kinda like the real Bronco better. Much less like a car
I posted earlier in this thread....I tried the full size Bronco when it first came out. I was not impressed. It had the optional larger V6 engine and I found it gutless compared to the wifes VW Tiguan.
I find the Sport much nicer to drive.
And I don't need a large SUV....I have trucks for large work.
The Sport would fit our needs perfect.....a good looking SUV to run around town and enough towing capacity to tow an atv.

I would consider a full size when they start to come off lease, only way however.
Do people still lease vehicles? That’s pretty uncommon in my region. The excess mileage charges make leasing more expensive than purchasing the vehicle.

Love the darn thing, and one of the nicer vehicles we've ever owned. Lots of used badland's seen around here. Mutts fit in rear, good fuel millage and comfortable for humans.

Everytime I go uptown.... There is a repair shop there and everytime I look in, there is either a Ram with a Hemi or a Ford gasser in there getting the engine torn down and it's usually the cams that go.
THAT only one of the reasons why I will never own another Ford... I have owned 4, two new and 2 used and without exception all were black holes trying to suck the bank account dry. The last one and Escape was gone 4 months after it was bought.

Only (removed) left here is my Focus RS turbo and my 97 F350 4x4 truck with it's modified 7.3 forged rod diesel. Never had an issue with either.

Candidly I prefer GM vehicles for ease of routine maintenance. Of course the 97 is an OBS truck so plenty of room under the hood, unlike the new snub nosed ones.

I guess some people just don't have any luck. I bought a 2016 F150 with the 3.5 Ecoboost new. 8 years and 80,000 miles later it has been flawless. Never been in the shop for any reason. I also drive a 2007 E350 that was converted to 4wd when new. Been driving it for 18 years now and the only problem it ever had was the cruise control would keep disconnecting; a brake switch change fixed that. But then I keep up on the maintenance on all my vehicles....and I don't follow Ford's recommended 10,000 mile oil change interval!

I'm not brand loyal - I also have a Dodge dually, a Toyota SUV and a Jeep Wrangler. And I drove a Chevy S10 Blazer for 321,000 miles before trading up. All brands have their problems and my luck with Ford products has been no different than with other brands.

You got it, run around town. Don't even try to offroad it.

I kept waiting for this video to show some off roading.
I used to travel on worse roads in my Buick sedan all the time :)
I think it was a rental and the guy was being very careful. Said it has a locker in the rear I think.

lots of wanna be retro new vehicles on the market now. considering a new one would be totally out of the question for me. realizing this is a forum spanning age group, opinion, & demographic, & i'm just one voice among many

but the Sport, i believe, would withstand the rigors of a mall cruiser....regards

Well, at least my Ford stock is up 20% YTD and has paid $0.30 (about 2.5% for 6 months) per share. 😅 I won't badmouth a Ford product as long as I own stock in the company. ;)

On the other hand, the 93 full size Bronco I owned back in the day was a piece of crap that rusted so fast you could hear it. Gave to the ex in the divorce! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I have a yard full of atv's for that.
The price of new vehicles....NONE of mine are going off road, other than my pickup that has to travel 50 miles of bush road every week.

Funny how that works eh? Ford's have been the only brand that never give me problems. I try other brands when my dealer pisses me off and then I end up right back to Ford. Must be the Ford blood in me. They like me, LOL

NT: i actually agree with you. having good stock is better than a new Sport! & wise to pass on your former vehicle to the ex. i once owned an International '70 ScouI, superb 304, body/chassis not so much. i tend to keep vehicles that preform well. my '92 toyota 4x4 stands the test of time, 334k original engine. then again, single owner. best regards

As a side note, I know I'm supposed to only drive my F550 to the grocery store to prove what a big burly man I am, but I have owned both a 95 Ford Explorer 2 door Sport (that went 450,000 miles before I retired it) and a Bronco II with a 2800cc V6 engine and 4 speed and I loved them both. And I made it into an abandoned mine site with that Explorer, then had to go back to pick up the people in the Toyota Tundra with diff locks and drive them in because they couldn't make it in. (though my driving ability probably had as much to do with that as anything else.)
