Sure are liking this suv. Spouse is driving it in northern MN right now caring for her elderly dad. Might be the nicest suv we have ever purchased.
That's awesome, ii own Ford stock and it would be great if everyone felt like that!

We really love our Edge ST. Unfortunately they're discontinuing them. Otherwise we would have bought another one after this one is worn out. I can't seem to talk her into a full size Bronco.

We test drove the full size one twice. Terrible ride and lots of road noise......

what's the depreciation rate of this Sport Bronco? say 3 yrs down the road from original sticker price? that's what i'd be looking at.-

But we need a SUV to drive for the next 10+ years. Should we discuss its depreciation in 2038?

makes good sense. since the thread is about the Sport in general, would be interesting to see it's depreciation rate. There are a number of retro new models currently, wanted to see how this one fairs.

in terms of keeping a good vehicle, i'm with you. i currently have 3 vehicles, latest is '06, combined mileage over 750k. good luck with the Sport, will probably be a reliable buy, regards

Depreciation of vehicles is something I never care about, because I buy them new then drive them for 200-300K miles or until the wheels fall off. I assume they will only be worth clunker prices when I’m ready for a new one.

makes sense. i've never understood the 3 yr trade off after purchasing new. but guess i'm clueless & will stick with what works for me. always trying to keep things simple at this late stage. a young family of course may think differently

I bought 1 new car in my life, a 2008 Accent for $12,500 plus t&t. Put 240k miles on it and it's sitting in the driveway rotting.

That's like me, I buy them and drive them until they turn to dust, because automobiles are the biggest depreciating, worst wastes of money you can buy. Unfortunately we need them, LOL

So everyone still happy with their Bronco Sport?
Now I'm thinking of getting one.

I found a used loaded 2022 Badlands, low mileage but they want $35,000 Canadian.
Thinking I'm better off to just pay the 50 for a brand new 2025 Badlands.

Only looking at the Badlands because I want the 4 cylinder engine, not the 3 cylinder all the other ones at dealers have.

The Bronco 2 is basically a Ford Escape with different sheet metal and keep in mind that the Eco-Boost engine is very touchy when it comes to oil change frequency. They really need to be changed every 5K miles as well as oil filter and that comes right from my BIL who was one of the design engineers on it. He told me and I quote... "extending the oil change intervals past 5K miles will eventually result in cam shaft failure". What he told me, you can take that to the bank or not, depending on your attitude. He was the person who told me to stay away from the Ford Focus twin clutch hybrid transmission and I did, opting for an off lease Ford Focus RS hatchback with the 6 speed single dry clutch transmission (off lease of course).

I'm not in the market for one but if I was, I would have purchased a low mileage off lease Escape instead, or even a Toyota FJ.
Think that applies to any new vehicle. I wouldn't even think of going past 5000 miles on an oil change.
You look at every brand....Ford, GM, RAM......they all have issues with cams and lifters.

Everytime I go uptown.... There is a repair shop there and everytime I look in, there is either a Ram with a Hemi or a Ford gasser in there getting the engine torn down and it's usually the cams that go.

Real facts are; The roads dearest were on to get 26mpg varied from 55 to 65 mph plus some city driving mixed in. 5006 resides over 15 hours of driving away.
I had to really drive for economy to get 25 US MPG from my VW Tiguan 2.0 turbo, so I would say your Bronco is doing good.

I see a ton of the Bronco 2's on the road and I cannot warm up to them at all. The full sized ones yes but the full sized ones are always loaded with Gee-Gaw as well. I bet none of them will see any off road use. All about show.. and a huge payment as well.

I think Ford just has really screwed up marketing ideas. Calling two completely unrelated vehicles "Bronco" and two completely unrelated vehicles "Mustang" is just dumb, especially when they are iconic names representing decades-old vehicle concepts.

I really don't think anyone that buys a "Bronco Sport" (which could have just as easily been called the Marmoset 5000 or whatever) is really interested in putting forth an image. They just want an SUV and like the styling and features of this one.

And, while I'm talking about things Ford does that I think are dumb, having two completely different full-size truck bodies and halting the building of cars, some of which were really very successful, also seems totally strange to me.

I guess they're still making money, so what do I know???
It's a normal trend for Ford. Even back in the 80's they had two Bronco's....one based on the F150 and one based off the Ranger. I liked both of them.

Looks like they cut the plastic out the rear for the hitch. Seems they would have to use the holes that ford put in the subframe for the hitch.
Looks the same as my VW Tiguan. I bought the factory hitch and it looked super easy to install. Just 4 bolts, and there were already threaded inserts in the chassis to just bolt it on. But then you realize the plastic bumper has to be cut out and some of the interior removed to plug in the harness. I let dealer do it, LOL
