From what I read, as long as you aren't cutting overly tall and thick grass, the 1211 will move along fine with the 72" deck. I imagine if you then throw hills on top of all that, you'd probably wish you had the 331. I like shiny new equipment, so hard for me to say keep the old one lol

Assembled and functioning.

I welded up the seat suspension and it works great. I'm going to mow with it a few times just to make sure everything is good, then pull it apart, add in a plate so it hides things under the seat (like the factory mount), and paint it.

Speaking of collection.... one whole side of my shop is now orange... I suppose I could sell the GR, but it sure is a neat mower and I got a good deal on it, so it will stay. The kids can learn to mow on it first before graduating to something bigger.

There was a puddle under the deck where it sit all winter. I took the gearbox off and replaced the lower seal. The bearings were all intact and spun freely, everything looked good and clean from what I could see. So far so good but I've only used it for about 2 hours so far. Time will tell...

This can't be good, here is what it looks like after settling a few hours. I am going to flush clean water through it twice, operating for 15 to 20 minutes between each flush, then add coolant flush to the next fill up. Hopefully that'll do the trick.

Built this over the course of the last hour or so, wasn't planned but I just had some mulch delivered and this will help move a little extra each scoop. I used 14 guage material because that's what I had laying around. If I had expanded metal I would have used that for the upper part.

I rented a mini excavator and I am digging trenches for fish.... any advice is appreciated. I am making some straight walls and some angled walls, hopefully you all can tell in the pictures what I am doing.

None required, I talked to local resources and none required for this size of a pond. It has to get pretty large before an engineer type permit is required I'm nowhere near that size. I believe I saved the documents I can find them again if you are interested let me know.

The soil we dug out went into dam except three piles I'll use for other projects. I'll dig a little more out for fish habitat trenches and just use it somewhere on my property.

For now just fishing. I left several ledges and a few dirt piles for fish. I will be digging some trenches next and will post pictures. I'll also leave some timber in certain locations. I also have some rocks I've saved for habitat.

The Dresser dozer wasn't running right when I bought it, I was hoping it was injectors but it had two bad cam lobes, so I sold it and rented the Cat. It was such a beast it still done a lot of work running on 6 out of 8 cylinders.
