I would of but I actually swapped (plus some cash) with a guy that had these on a ZD331 for sale that wasn't too far away. I messaged 3 people on FB Marketplace that had ZDs with tweels for sale and offered the swap plus cash and 1 guy said yes, I was pleasantly surprised. It saved me a pile...

I'll be using this on trails surrounded by Bois D'Arc trees with huge thorns, so Tweels were in order. The BX done okay with the thorns once the front tires were tubed, but every now and then a thorn would still take out a BX front tire. I believe the ZD rear tires are thinner. These tweels...

Asking for my uncle: Anyone have experience with Skags or Kubota gas engines? 2014 72" Scag Turf Tiger with a 3 cylinder Kubota liquid cooled engine, 900 hours. Owner states it is down on power and believes it to be the distributor. Would like to hear others experiences before purchasing. I...

There is a ZD331 60" with 1500hrs and 2 year old rear Tweels for $6,800... I'm tempted to add it to my collection and see if I like it better than the 1211 or maybe just swap tires, clean it up a little more, and resell it. I think I could get my money back relatively easy. One big reason I...

    Talk me in/out of a Kubota ZD-1211 w/ 72” deck

It's a shame that the tier 4 regs screwed this segment up so bad. That 30ish HP point was such a sweet spot for diesel mowers like the ZD and F series... not too mention small L size tractors. However, I take comfort knowing our government overlords have made the right decision for humanity as...

    Talk me in/out of a Kubota ZD-1211 w/ 72” deck

From what I read, as long as you aren't cutting overly tall and thick grass, the 1211 will move along fine with the 72" deck. I imagine if you then throw hills on top of all that, you'd probably wish you had the 331. I like shiny new equipment, so hard for me to say keep the old one lol

Thanks for the info Doug. My idea for on the fly adjustments is going to be a community effort, I will have to draw on some people's engineering expertise for sure. The front castors shouldn't be too bad, they are set at a specific height. The rear is a different story. I'll probably go to a...

Cool! I live 45 minutes south of Stillwater. I spent 2 hours in the experimental area yesterday, I just finished a few books about the skunk works, X-15 program, etc. So it was quite fitting. I also finished a Wright Brothers book recently so I went to Huffman Prairie also. :)

    3 Point Log Splitter

Yes it is slow as hell, that is at 1400RPM and PTO speed is approx 2200RPM I believe. Increasing throttle beyond 1400 makes it cycle only slightly faster and isn't worth the extra wear and fuel burn in my opinion. It's what I have and it works fine for me, I'm not in business it's just...
