    Trying to ID thos subsoiler

I found a diagram finally! It looks like it's called the "top link bracket" it looks like a dearborn 10-89 lift type subsoiler.

It almost looks like a dearborn lift type subsoiler.

    Trying to ID thos subsoiler

Sorry I wasn't very specific on what part I was looking for! Its on the connecting peices for the top link. I don't know what it's called! Check the first photo and look at the top link and you'll see what I mean. It looks to have broken off about 14 inches or so down.

    Trying to ID thos subsoiler

If you look at the first photo, where the top link connects to implement there should be 2 peices of steel there and the top link goes between and then your pin holds it all. One of those peices is broken down probably 14-16 inches. It bolts on so I was hopping to get a pre drilled replacement...

    Trying to ID thos subsoiler

I need a replacement part for this subsoiler. I know this just a peice of steel but if I could find a replacement instead of having to cut and drill holes in a new peice of steel I'd prefer it. It had blue paint on it at some point. Thanks!

    Ford 4500 Power Steering pump

I keep a 5 gallon 80-90 for these type things! Perfect I've got a pail pump so hopefully I can get it right to that fill plug. Guess I'll ve replacing the seal at some point this winter.

    Ford 4500 Power Steering pump

Is there a fill plug or anything for it?

    Ford 4500 Power Steering pump

could it be from that arm? Looks like a leak to me.

    Ford 4500 Power Steering pump

No we aren't adding any oil in the case, it subtracts a little over time lol I'll fill it back up see if I'm losing somewhere else. Down the line on a hose fitting or something, I probably should have started there.

    Ford 4500 Power Steering pump

I've got a ford 4500 with a power steering pump that's disappearing all the fluid out after a few hours. If you are sitting innthe tractor it's the front left side, it has it'd own fill cap. This is a 3 cylinder diesel. The power steering works great until all the fluid is gone. I don't see...

Ford 4500 industrial rear tire size question

I've got a 4500 industrial with a flat and mangled rear 16.9-28. There's a set of decent used 16.9-30s close to me for really reasonable price. I don't get tire sizing that well but is it possible to mount these on the same wheels? This is just a Farm backhoe for the occasional project. Which I...

Ford 4500 backhoe brake arm rod snapped

Any ideas about how to secured that rod so I can keep it steady while I thread it?
  15. W

Ford 4500 backhoe brake arm rod snapped

Well comfortable with neither haha. I can't weld but I do know folks around who can. I feel like threading the rod and adding a coupler/extension would be easier I'm just not sure with that limited space how well I can do it.

    Ford 8N high oil pressure

Thanks to everyone who pitched in on this with me! Y'all have really helped and even thought I'm not 100% sure the issue is solved I don't feel pretty good about motoring on. This planting ain't gonna do itself.

Ford 4500 backhoe brake arm rod snapped

Its me again.....I was trying to replace the brake road seals and this happened (see attached photos) when I went to remove that rod nut that's fitted into that clevis It got tight and snapped. I suppose the last guy cross threaded it or it wasn't supposed to come off. I'm not sure how else I...

    Ford 8N high oil pressure

Not that I'm aware of. I will say, I did run it a good while yesterday and I found at a medium throttle after thirty minutes of running I was finding the pressure dropping back down to high 30s. I think I'm just gonna have to be okay with it unless I start hearing engine noises or leaks.

    Ford 8N high oil pressure

Well well bet yall thought this was over and done with. Wrong. Got the new parts in today and this evening I swapped them out. Oil pressure is still pegged out at 50. The new spring was significantly stiffer than the old one. Is there some step to this I'm missing? No plunger and spring there...

    Ford 754 backhoe bucket pins

This is what I'm working with. Call me stupid but I don't think I see any kind of bushing in their either.

    Ford 754 backhoe bucket pins

Only the things that I have to🤣 the bucket pin has come out twice now and it just doesn't seem right. I wish I had one to look at in person to get the right pin sizes.

    Ford 754 backhoe bucket pins

Wow I wouldn't have thought theu would be so much. One of these might be the correct pini just feel like there's too much play in the bucket. I've sheared off one of the retaining pins for those pins already. I just can't imagine that it should be moving around so much to have that kind of...

    Ford 754 backhoe bucket pins

Hey all. My ford 4500 with a 755 backhoe (I'm pretty sure atleast) has 2 wrong pins in it I'm pretty sure. The previous owner replaced one with "the biggest pin TSC had" I have the 755 manual but not the parts manual. I'd like to find the right pins but I'm not having a ton of luck on the Ole...

    Ford 8N high oil pressure

Pulled that spring and plunger out, put cap back, pressure dropped to almost zero ran it for a few, put the plunger spring assembly back in pressure back pegged again. Feel pretty safe just calling it a bad relief valve/spring assembly. Hopefully they'll send it in soon. I don't wanna run it...

    Ford 8N high oil pressure

Well just opened up the package from aftermarket reliable and of course they forgot to send the oil pressure relief valve kit🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ atleast I got the new tachometer cable lol.🙄
  27. W

    Ford 8N high oil pressure

This works put because the new one came in over the weekend so I'll be there anyway and I can test it real quick. So with the cap on but the plunger and spring out the oil pressure should be low because the plunger isnt there restricting the flow ie raising pressure. So if the pressure is still...
  28. W

    Ford 8N high oil pressure

This is probably a stupid question but if I run it without the relief the relief plunger in, oil should come out right? If it doesn't, then the passage would be clogged right?
  29. W

    Ford 8N high oil pressure

She'll rotella 15 40 that's what folks around me run, this is in SC. You think that's too heavy of an oil?
  30. W

    Ford 8N high oil pressure

I also did crack all the fittings and see that oil is flowing everywhere.

    Ford 8N high oil pressure

I'll just throw in the new one when it gets here.
  32. W

    Ford 8N high oil pressure

I couldn't really think of a "scientific" way to test the spring. It felt like a spring, it didn't seem overly difficulty to get the part back in place. If the spring is weak it would keep the valve open and I would have low oil pressure right? I have ordered a new replacement set for that just...

    Ford 8N high oil pressure

    Ford 8N high oil pressure

update: New oil gauage only goes to 50 and it's pegged out at half throttle. I pulled the oil pressure relief to visually inspect it but I can't really tell much. I'm gonna replace it and see what happens. Any other way to test it?
  35. W

    Ford 8N high oil pressure

I ordered a whole new set of gauges I was missing a tach anyway. Gonna swap them out and see what it reads. They should be in tomorrow night.

    Ford 8N high oil pressure

The other day my 52 side mount 8n oil pressure dropped down and I changed the oil, it was time anyway. It was down low, but still running fine. I changed the oil, replaced the filter, and now the pressure is pegged out at 80. I haven't ran it except to move it out of my way real quick. I've...

    1952 Ford 8n (w/clutch) clicking/ratcheting noise

I have a 1952 8n that I've been using for the past 3 months. Besides some carb issues that were an easy fix, it's been Damm near turn key everytime. Today while I was mowing I started hearing the PTO start clicking. I do have that adapter clutch and it seems to be greased. There is a fair...

I need a propane torch that works

Second this. I bought a like 50 dollar MAP Gas torch from the plumbing section at lowes. It will burn MAP, Propane, and Butane I think. I use MAP all the time tho[emoji2369] I've had it for 8 years maybe and it works every time. Click spark type. I've lit hundreds of fire works with it, started...

Ford 5000 Lift issue after rebuild

Well fellas I made it worse [emoji2357]we pulled thet cover back off. Realized that the flow control knob (I think) was seized and the actual piston was sorta seized up. So we tapped it out rehoned and lubed it. It was moving again and threw it all back together. It still isn't doing anything...

Ford 5000 Lift issue after rebuild

I don't think it would have been installed backwards because I did pay pretty close attention to the diagrams from the parts manual. I'm pretty sure I changed the seal because I think I had to fabric a puller to get that bad boy out. I may be thinking of the wrong part tho. I'll check on the...

Ford 5000 Lift issue after rebuild

I used an engine lift as well last time lol. After a failed attempt to rig up a sort of major shift gantry lol! I think you're right. That top cover is gonna have to come back off and it kinda makes me want to vomit haha. Thats how it goes sometimes!

Ford 5000 Lift issue after rebuild

Perfect. I'm sure that o ring was replaced . I'll listen out for some noise tho. Thanks for helping out. If I don't find anything else I guess I'll pull that top cover again and visually check that oring what a shame it would be to be foiled by less than a dollars worth of runber.

Ford 5000 Lift issue after rebuild

Can you send that link to messicks and I can reference the part numbers in the parts manual and see the proper diagram. I have the other transmission. 10 speed I believe. Has 2 shifters.

Ford 5000 Lift issue after rebuild

Well after rereading, what you said thr oring was in the actual case? On the transmission side or the hydraulic side?
  48. W

Ford 5000 Lift issue after rebuild

On mine the hydraulic life cover is direct under the seat and then transmission cover Is a separate cover that both gear shifters go into. My rear remotes are mounted on the lift cylinder top cover. I do believe I replaced every o ring in that top cover.

Ford 5000 Lift issue after rebuild
