Prev. post #114 and it pretty much proves it. Somebody Rolled it on with a rolling Paint brush. Seriously though that's a lot!! Wish I was at that shop to hear all the comments. IMO. the shop doing his best! ;) eventually they're get it all straightened out. Good thing is at least you have...
Pressure up checked the cooling the Sys.. How high did it Get ? Hopefully just the water Port. Until he pulls the head and checks it for cracks or even warped May not even be repairable. The apparent damage doesn't look good.? I would of Checked that Piston Cyl. pressure Esp. on the bad one and...
Looks like a lot more copper than spray in that damaged head and Block. Rolled it on. It's oozing out and that's a legit opinion from the looks in the pics.. Myself Clean block and head. I've seen Several repairs that don't work or last long when you see it used. No need for it if the surfaces...
I'm with Travis_R. I've been there! Wow! You know what they say when the _hit hits the fan. Good grief!! I know better!! There was a underlying problem is my guess. Employee etc.....JMO.
I use to work at a Machine shop. We rebuilt Engines. My job as a teen was tear down. I was responsible to disassemble and check if the motor or any parts was usable. I was 18-19 then. The Eng block. How didn't they see the damage?
Who added the copper rig job! I see no reason for it unless the Eng. block is warped. They missed it? Fredricks put the copper patch and then put it together? This is so highly unusual I don't think of any of the Refurbished has had this many problems. Somethings just not adding up. I'm waiting...
Looking at the New block pic. you would think that copper would be visible. The copper is a terrible Rig!. IMO. a Ghetto rig pretty much. Call it what you want. If that is the new block I can't see the copper. Really strange and I'm looking hard for it and don't see it?.
Your guy apparently can see the possible damage. Is it a VN. import and the poor repair was missed. That very well could be true.? I agree with the pitting I'm doubtful the block is cracked beyond repair. Will see and watching for the outcome. My guess your going to be in much better shape than...
Voice, Touch screen keypad. You name it!!......Alexa even... Happened Yrs. ago now I'm older my fingers don't hardly move. I've learned a good deal on this site also. Always been a favorite.:)
I have trouble even typing! That's the truth so if you see my typo's trust me it's understandable. I wasn't sure. We know what it looks like! F Bomb !!!
There's potential problems and you can see it in the Pic.s if you know what to look for. The Eng. Head not all that big of a deal to replace. The possible Eng. block damage is going to be the big issue. Crack, Rust Etc.. Parts are not going to be that bad of a problem either. It's just what's...
It's going to be interesting after the shop pulls the head. I believe to see a big problem with the Eng. Block. It's there could Head also. They know it!!
Stick around 2500$ no FEL. being 4WD. everything in working order. 3G. is Reasonable! Rule of Thumb. Always ask a high price!! You can always come down but it's hard to go up. In Ga.. ;)
Use all them if need be. Not all that much of a problem. Or to it for that matter. Make a Gasket using Gasket paper. Double thick and Permatex even. I wouldn't be losing any sleep over it. The housing maybe busted or cracked. He'll be looking harder at it now when tries to fiqure out what the...
Steve Haynes. The Co. was Spalding before Steve purchased it! I believe that was Early 2000's. Been a while. He set the Fathers up!!. Way up on my list of tractor guys!!
My local was Fredricks supplied also. First The All Org. Ym2000. I still own and use today. Yesterday even. That was in 2008. Looked as though it just rolled off a boat.
Was at Fredrick's Equipment for tiller in 2009. Was told I better go get it. The last one they had. Dealing with them and was...
My mother was the Kids School bus driver! On her route the morning it happened. The kids mother was a driver also. Aunt was the Court secretary. True! More to it than that! Trust me:confused:
If one has a good Eng. and the motor not locked up and turns over I would try to get it running. Pull the head of the parts tractor and see what shape the Cylinders are in Etc.. Diesel so shouldbn't be all that much to it. Cost wise! Tractor running and a parts tractor would make it more worth...
Dealer cost is a big factor. It varies. My 01 F250 300$ + shipping @ 3.2% I kept the cash. No Dwn.payment. It's super fast. Father was Dealer Rep. Ford credit Ga.. A plan  148Mph..
Org. All the little stuff! Pins,Pliers etc.. Big Box to the 3Pt.. Seen one on a Quick Hitch. Easy to access and attach a big tool box to. Red box at the shifter.

I considered changing the Temp. Sensor to Gauge. In the summer I've had the Temp. light come on a few times over the Yrs.. Last time it happened and Been a few Yrs. I drained and flushed the Radiator. I also dropped the Antifreeze ratio to 20%. It's in the 90's now and I haven't tripped it yet...
I had best results using Gaskets. Clean the surface and new Gasket or Material. I have made several that way. Used both RTV. and Gaskets on old damaged equipment. oil. pans, Valve covers Etc.. Not happy about it but it has worked several times.
loaded tires on my 63 Ford no PS. and it helps with traction. With a FEL. I use a old International BH. just for counter balance on the 3pt. Just shy of 5' so it stays inside the rear tire Disp.. Super heavy and easily will lift the wheels off my small Yanmar utilty tractor when it was lifted...
My 2 stage ford clutch was stuck. Found the CL. needed TLC!!!. Sent it to the shop! it had other problems with the shifter. Stuck in Rev.. The clutches was stuck engaged from rust dirt etc. on the Dr. shaft. Prev. Ghetto rig!! pry barred the clutch packs from the Flywheel. F' them up!! Then the...
I don't know for sure the GPM. flow rate. It's small and the only thing you can clearly read is Vickers vane pump. The numbers I can see and searching 8 GPM..
I run a Hyd. pump off the Eng. crank shaft. The Fel. frame is the Hyd. fluids reservoir. It's all self contained. If I ever would need to remove the Fel. a few bolts and the Hyd. pump shaft is all I need to remove it. 1963 ford with a Wagner FEL. They should have a complete kit...
Somebody been in it long ago from the looks. The Pin in the throttle shaft isn't even Seated back. After the Refurb paint. This is getting interesting.
1963 2000 gas. The clutch was stuck on it. Broken shifter fork also. I'm thinking from the looks of the old clutch. It was the 2 Stage stuck then the shifter was broken from what the shop showed me of the damage. Pry bar stuck in Rev. so we was pretty sure of it. Shop has been around for...
Use everything you have and keep you safe. This is no Trac loader and has a 3pt. lift lock. It works but I don't rely on it! 1977 model and the lift slowly drops while sitting lifted not running. IMO. why they added the Hyd, lock. You have to be careful and open it back up. Many times I've heard...
Small tractor was my first. The YM2000 and then I double the size with the
Ford 2000. The Yanmar is my FM pretty much and the Wooded area is what the 63 Ford FEL. is used for. Old as I am and seen it on CL. All intact with correct Era FEL.. I had to do a split and other things but I glad I did...
You don't need the wheels I sure didn't. Pic. 1st. pass for the season 2nd with the NTM. RS1400 Tiller. Mothers garden she used a Briggs & stratton walk behind. Yrs Ago last Tiller they had and we had to Dig it out of a back Warehouse. It did have brand new tines! Was told I wouldn't need the...
I used straight cut blades for a few Yrs.. I cut a few property's with them. They lasted much longer but the cut was nowhere near as nice. 5WP1001510KT is the correct Straight Blade for the Frontier. But a Big difference in price. 83.75$ Straight and that was in 6/2012 and I just paid AGRI...
I use a RD1060 Frontier 2001. It's made by woods! Your Blades look to be in good shape. I'm thinking the drive belt may not be very tight. High grass and side discharge. I use High lift blades also. ASC AGRI supply Co.. They seem to last longer. Those look to be straight blades and new. I had...
Mentioned it before but both Yanmars came from a Fredrick's supplied dealer. The first one is the Ym2000 And it is org. Complete! Looked like It just rolled off a boat!! INKY.. Then a Refurb Ym2500. I knew his location and what he sold. Atl. motor speedway back then. Just went some Grn. new...
JD. Frontier is setup with QC. that's a real simple setup. Easy to attach. If you don't set the pins on the arms you can add or release the Bucket, Forks etc.. Then you don't even have to get out of the seat in doing so. Or leave them off which was pretty much stayed that way.
Old school like my...
I used a piece of vacume hose the smaller return line fit into. I was able to keep the Org. tank. I had to do something. Major leak Esp. close to or a full tank of fuel.

How thick it gets here! On one of the weed eaters I use multiple types of blades. 3 different. 3 Blade triangle Lawn mower type works but I use a saw blade for the thick growth.. I've cleared areas like this several times. That's the nasty neighbor house if you look hard. ;) I leave this patch...
Rusted pipe could be the the problem. Should be all Aluminum tubing. Debris getting into the control valve.? Cyl. and a piston is pretty much all there is to it and that would cause a problem. Bet the Hyd. filter is super dirty! May want to pull and clean it. JS..
Look under the cover the of Hyd. Valve. What looks like is happening is your handle is in the highest position. And the spring looks to be applying pressure to the control valve trying to lift if still. The spring should not have pressure on the control pin. fully lifted. Push the handle...
Elec. circular saw blade I have attached to a weed eater, Super easy to use. All the small growth I cut at the soil. Easier for me to remove and discard it to burn piles then cut it down to width of the FEL. bucket etc.. My BH. is a Brush cutter. Brutal!! not setup to cut pastures. Vines and...
My 63 2000 had a dirt-debris problem from the fuel tank. Showing up in the bottom of my Glass sediment fuel bowl. looked like fuel tank rust along with the fuel valve itself was leaking. Cleaned and placed the valve and lines and it finally quit showing up. Took a while cleaning the sediment...
I was looking Yesterday at the muffler. I have some spots showing again. Normal though and I knew I was getting my D.Gen. Dollars worth of Blk. spray paint anyways. Seen the Rust oleum pics. and I'm going to be looking for it. Hopefully it will show up local but I'm sure other brands of the same...
My First Yanmar was the Ym2000 which was all Org. and still is. I can see your YM2500 Has been Refurbished. Which there was a YM2500 Fredricks same dealer also. Looked Identical!! You had more to touch up than I did. Not perfect match to Org. in color but it did what I needed it for. Believe I...
I agree! Wire brush wheel on a drill to clean it. And then a quick run on the bench grinder to sharpen it. Doesn't take much and razor sharp. Open field so I never hit anything to bend the blades and I'm able to Keep them straight also. Very little curve end wear. Mentioned it before. The high...
Grandfather was a Crew foreman. The Ford Funk came from a Owner of a coal mine. It was to much for him. WV.. Leaned it and stuck it up against a tree. Scared the !!!! out of him so he sold it. INKY. To Much power! Grandfather had to use his team of plow horses to get it rolled back over and out...
Grandfather 52 Funk! I seen it in his barn Yrs. ago. Super cool when you know what it was! 63 Ford 2000 Wagner FEL. which I split and ben though! I like the upgrades and found it all Org. intact. My Father Dealer Rep. Ford Credit. Ga. Yrs!!...
Figured they still used it. I was pleased with it just for touch up. They've used the brand this long is a sure sign of the quality. knew what it was ;)

No. and what I thought. Your lift arms should be all the way down now. The bottom pushes the pin in not the top. Pull the lift handle backwards, then the bottom of the Linkage Arm pushes the pin in to lift it. My Pic.#11 you can see that. My handle is all the down which is lower the 3Pt.lift...
Mid mount on a craftsman GT. Garden Tractor, which had 3 blades also, The last blade which is the last side discharge and always was worn more than the other. The two furthest had the least and the last caught all the clippings from the others plus it was cutting also. and then out the side...
Chk. the spring and the linkage. It should keep it next to the control valve pin. Mine had major play in it and the linkage. under the guard Esp. rusted and stuck In?
Sounds the same here but more Wks. 32 on average. Using just 1 blade and a big one I can understand. Yrs. using 3 blades and They all seem to wear pretty much the same. The lift bend is what wears and I use a bench grinder and get a perfect cut sharpening them. Couple passes unless I chipped...
About the only thing it could be is the Hyd. Valve. That's what controls the flow. HV-451 for the Ym2610. Same 3Pt. as my Ym2000. The pin is what controls the lift from the handle. Pull the handle back and push the pin In and lift it.
3Pt. handle down pressure on the pin is released letting...
Use a blower in the Front Yrd.. Rear discharge is the Key. Couldn't give me a mower that wasn't RD. Mid mount lawn mower I can understand the side discharge. No choice!! FM on the JD. even RD.
Front yard and Field is my Profile Pic.. 8 wooded and what the 63 ford FEl. is used for. The old...
The frontier mower I use high lift blades. Mowing season 3 acres. Sharpening the blade itself isn't what wears the most for me it's the bent Vert. lift that goes. The lift wear starts showing and Blade cutting trip won't last long after words. 2nd. set of Agri Supply on it now and the wear has...
About the only thing that on the Timing Gear cover is 4 studs that mounts the oil pump? . Heli coil bent bolts come to mind? Just wondering what happened to it?
Going down hill shift into neutral. When you get going to fast use your brake pedal. That should slow it down. ;)
The geared YM240 that requires a full stop at every change of grade isn't nearly as productive as the little YM186D with Powershift
Valves in the vale body. The 2310 has a Power shift or should be. PSPG-2441 Power shift pump Gasket is the Gasket. Dirty fluid, Filter's etc.. Most likely the Trans. needs to be serviced.
Sisters hand me down. She paid for working @ Dairy Queen!. POS> Didn't keep it long and the hill it died on was were it was left. 70's Gas shortage, prices so it was cheap on fuel! ;) Dark Grn Tan top. 1972 model. 110
The YM2000 looked as though it just rolled off a boat. NKY!! My Parts list when I bought the YM2000, and Tach Hrs. now. I think 012. My notes 025 Oil/filter. Fredreick's parts, What I had to repair and add a Tiller.
Since then I Rebuilt the starter 72.00$ and reline the tires. I put a ghetto...

My Fredricks muffler has lasted 18 yrs.. Which I have had to clean it. And touch up the muffler with Blk. Spray paint. Dollar General were saying about the same price also 1 dollar a can. Ym2000 It's all Org. and the only thing that was replaced was the seat and Muffler. When purchased in...
Axle seal and collar which I had to replace on my Yanmar Decades ago. The collar itself is pressed on the axle shaft. I have a new Collar also but at the time I opted to leave it and not replace it with the new collar. Microscopic small pitting and Yes it still drips a very little and pretty...

The YM1600 isn't listed very much even for me. Same Clutch Disc. # CD-4115 Fredricks. I think your going to need a Head Gasket from the looks of the Pic..

Deere 850 is the same Water pump. I believe the 950 is also but 850 for sure. 60.00$ Online. Pretty sure Your under warranty so I'm not even going there! Not much to replacement. Fredrick's Warranty is Parts. Perfect example why I went back to the same dealer for the YM2500 considering who...
All org. 012 Tach. Hrs. NTM. From the pump no additives or Mystery oil? 18 Yrs and I have never had it over 2200 RPMs with a 5' mower 90% of the hrs. I put on it. Once or twice to see how high full throttle was. Which was right at 2700 Eng. Rpms wide open I believe it's been so long. Pic. NTM...
63 2000 48Hp. FEL.. Gas I keep for cold weather. Old as I am to!!. Now I don't have to go through the PITA cold start the Yanmar! My lawn mower and 90% of it's use is warm weather. Even in the Spring months It's slow starting. Been through a couple starter repair's already. This last one has...
Sounds like Performance problems and a quick easy fix! First thing comes to mind Low Cyl. pressure.. Miracle oil is what I'm guessing they use it for. ;)
use atf in the fuel? I'm guessing he does it.
Copilot Answer
Adding Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) to diesel fuel:
Car Care Hacks
Common ratio: one gallon of ATF per 250 gallons of diesel fuel.
ATF improves lubrication and prevents wear and tear on the engine.
However, ATF is not...
Look into the glass fuel bowl. The reason I don't use Red offroad Diesel is for this exact same reason. You can't see in the fuel or see the filter. I just filled up the tank with off Rd. and of course I was smart enough to look at the fuel bowl before I ran the off-Rd. in it. It's so dark red...
This just came up on the Filter thread! YM2500 Air Filter from the same poster

The Ym2500 from a Fredrick's supplied dealer. It was pretty much trouble free, The owners was retired Catholic priests. Even after I had to quit using it and the only problem that I was informed of was a small Hyd. leak at the pump. I believe the 3point lock was closed and not knowing tried to...

Not that familiar with Bio. Diesel and I mentioned The Bio burn off could be the cause of the bad smell. Temperature will shorten the life span.
The challenge with producing 100% biodiesel fuel is the vegetable nature of it. It's prone to spoiling, just like the products you store at home. If...
Ford gas and the Yanmar 2Cyl. Diesel. I use. 10W-40 Tractor supply Diesel rated in it. The Ford Oil-Filter next change I'll use 20W-50 castrol Etc.. I used the Thin 10W-40 NTM. looking for leaks which I found the few there was and easily taken care of. It will get a quick change around 50 tach...
This station #1 Diesel at Pumps 6 Bays. The off Rd. is a separate set of pumps just for Diesel/Off-Rd.. The dye sure was super dark Red this time. Very Noticeable so I'm thinking there Injecting the Dye and the other Pump next to it is the #2 Diesel. Is the off Rd, Dyed #2 You can bet money...
Grandfather used Kerosene in WV.. Which we called it Heating oil as kids. Coal before that. They finally changed to Natural gas when it was finally available for delivery.
I'm all Elec.. and use a Heat pump/AC.. No gas!. I will have to switch the heat to just Electric heat a few times a yr. but...
My grandfather had a Coal miners helmet lamp that used Kerosine! INKY. Early 1900's. Hung in his barn for Yrs..

I'm thinking the old school off Rd. now! Low temp. here in my part of Ga. very seldom goes below freezing. Nights for a few Months.. I do know the owner of a local store who does sell Off Rd.. and Ask what his actually is? Off course he has Reg. Pump Diesel Chevron. Which is what I've been...
I do not have or seen this option for the #2 diesel. Interesting read so I'm going to be looking into this. If or when it does become available. Off Rd. is available local. Just came up about Extra stinky!! ? It could be the #2 JS..:oops...
It's a kit Fredricks calls it WPC-1700
Water pump, BP-2000 Back plate, Belt Pulley, WP Gasket, Back plate gasket, lower Radiator hose, Bypass hose.
There is just a water pump WP-2000 And it will fit the YM-1700B But you need the above parts to complete it.
FM-1700 Fan mount only for the YM1700...
On the 1700 even a B should not have a water pump. My guess the Thermal Sys. works better at a higher RPM's than put putting around. I believe one of the main reasons they went to a water pump cooling Sys. JMO... and something to consider if that's true.
My Org. YM2000 it was the muffler I had...

What showing up on the muffler cap lid itself. Antifreeze or white water looking? I get normal black smoke and A thick black sludge on lid cap. Almost thicker than grease. Super nasty black! I use a gas soaked rag which I wipe it off often. Not much of oil use. 1/2 Qt. a yr.. with typical use...

Chevron or Murphy. Chevron is the closer Murphy is cheaper. I still won't run the Chev. Off Rd.. They claim it's Reg. fuel pump Diesel. Just Dye for Off Rd use. It doesn't get used in my area very much! Decades ago when it was Rural so it sits in the Tanks for ? And you can't actually see it!! JMO..
Sure looks to be a odd location for the ROP.. No doubt they worked but the use of it doesn't sound very typical either. Farm etc.. On the rd. incline pulling a trailer speeding couldn't stop On and On. Lucky the driver didn't get it UTDA.... roll over!
I have Off Rd. Diesel and Reg. pump. close to the house. No Taxes. High Fuel, prices would be the only reason for me to use it. The reason I don't use off Rd. is you I can't see the fuel filter or in the fuel bowl hardly for that matter. Had it out yesterday and looked in it! Super clean and...
Just seen this!!
Woods makes a Mid mount for the 165. Facebook Market. pics of the Front mount Elec.PTO, also. Local to me in Young Harris Ga. Wasn't hard to find and listed today! Sell the Mid mount?
Don't know your location? Same as the YM1700. Listed YM2000 Cheap Replacement. Should be complete. Facebook market 50.00$ Florence MS. the shifter looks to be there all intact!
Front weight won't be a problem. No FEL. On the YM2000 Had one on the JD. And The ford has FEL. Don't care to mow with one up there. The 5103 Was nice QA!! Don't have much involved to remove the attachment. Or even get out of the operator seat to do it. Just don't set the pins. The bucket...
FWIW. Woods Manual list the Mowers specs.
GM 1060 611 Lbs. GM1072 678Lbs. GM1084 774 Lbs.
Tractor Data lists the 165D
Wheel base 48"
Weight 1109Lbs. 2WD. 1230Lbs. 4WD.
A 5' mower would weight half as much as the tractor. Your most likely have to add front Ballast. I had to add Front weight...
I use a Frontier 1060R made by Woods. With new high lift blades it works really well. Been using it for Yrs. 2008 for weekly cutting. 1' mower size to 4HP. PTO. or 5 Eng. Hp. is a good rule of thumb. Hoye! I don't think I would care to have a bigger mower. Runs 2G. Eng. RPMs. really smooth and...
I could do that. My Profile is my front yard 4 acres. The YM2000 has been my lawn mower since 2008. Around 8 acres in the back. I'm working clearing it. Last couple days it's been the Weed eater with a Brush Attachment. Brutal! I've learned how to take my beating with it! Twice a Yr..
My rear wheel mounts was cut off. That one's really nice. Small garden it was used on I never had a problem though. Tines are still available at Fredrick's. From the looks your tines are in good shape! Took longer hooking it up than it did to actually till the garden. They do work well.
I had to shorten a Drive shaft to make mine fit, Or pull the Overrun clutch and not have one. Yanmar Ym2000 RS-1400. We dug out the wrong PTO shaft from the spare parts Warehouse. To long. Fredricks sent the correct one to the house when they found it. I was able to shorten the incorrect one...
JD. 1025R is only 23 Eng Hp. 1444 Lbs. Not very big. My Rice patty YM2000 24Eng. weight 1664 -1940 2WD-4WD. is my guess is the reason for the increase.
My Ford 63 2000 had a hay fork on the bucket. PO. still had it bolted down. He stated he would like to keep it. I think he attached it to a JD.. I spot weld the holes in since I would never would use them. When the clutch stuck engaged he listed it on CL. Hey it's a tractor I believe the add...
1977 YM2000 all Org. From A Fredricks supplied dealer. My Frontier 5' FM is all it can handle. I had to add front bumper weight to keep the wheels on the ground. Moving I could ride some good wheelies. On purpose ...:giggle:

RS-1400 Fredricks Around 2008 No shear pins that I know of. Gear driven and the Only Pin is on the Drive shaft that's spring loaded and hold it in place in use. Parts are Rare on these old models. We had to Dig this one out of a back of a whare house. Last Yanmar tiller they had and wasn't sure...
Fuel problem. Dirty Fuel filter from all the trash that was sucked up from the bottom of the tank is my guess. Could of clogged up a line. #3 furthest from the Inj. pump and the Cyl. that lacks fuel. If you was able to pull the Injectors you should run a compression check. Or talk about until it...
I just mentioned it and the cold start on my Yanmar drips diesel on a heating element to heat it up so the intake gets super hot. I don't have to use it but very seldom but it is effective.
Cold weather is the key. It's super cold it's going to be super slow. On my cold starts I always counts how long it takes for the oil light to go out. And release the Decompression lever. In Ga. in 4Sec. warm 6cold weather. Have to honestly say I only started it in 30deg. weather once or twice...
BTDT. my 2000 The CL. add stated just needed "Battery & TLC." when purchased was as bad if not worse. Finding out after I got it to the house. The Clutch/Trans. was in such bad shape it had to go to the shop! Wasn't big money to repair it all but well worth it. The new 2 stage was the most...
People has been hurt with the ROP and no seat belt. So I agree on being held down in the seat. Well known Esp. from the Mtns I'm Org from. Your held in the seat but you also can remove it and stand up also if need be.
Should be able to remove it. Not mandatory but if it was mine, I would make it so I could put it back in working condition. For myself it would have been gone in day1.
Oh Nice! 200$ sounds about right. I don't think I could complain about the Estimate. I would pay it. I have Crank shaft PTO FEL. also. My cylinders are setup the same as Ponytugs video so that is good to see the seals are easy to get to. I had a problem NTM. and the Shop that had to split it...
At least they didn't chain it to a fence post and the kid tied to pull it out of the ground. The Org. Yanmar rollover and it did not roll over it fell on it's side throttle stuck wide open killing the Kid!! Mother was there. Bus driver and there when it happened. Morning route. She Knew and...
Lost my drive side wheel on a hill not even very steep. With the mower and I was stuck About. SMP I'm saying. Out of nowhere I hit a hole my R. side dropped in!! Glad I wasn't in a Bull dozer when that happen!! Tractor roller over UTDA is what I'm Saying!!!
Talk to Fredricks. Stuck Injection pump a serious safety problem. The Pump Guy works on them also. I've seen him on here often. Get someone killed Again if somethings wrong. Decompression lever is about the only way to shut it down unless you shove something in the air cleaner. If you can!!
Level and flat as can be. On the neighbors property! Hit on the side with a loader IMHO.. Well versed on the Yanmar Roller over. The Org. one which my mother was there when it happened...
Coming in the rear main bearing seal. I'd be looking at the Head gasket etc... Radiator staying full fluid? Is it super cold in your location,Freeze and break the block?. Pretty much rule out the Transmission itself. With Radiator fluid getting in it.
They call the Trans. a Power Shift. Automatic basically. If it is the Transmission leaking power shift pump would be my guess, Regulator gasket or seals. I'm showing Fredricks should have everything for that model Power Shift.
Just had my 2000 out for first full mow of the season. Bought from a UTDA dealer 2008. ASIS. Org. Gladly gave him the asking price.2800$ In the high 900tach, hrs that I put on it! Had to repair/Rebuild the starter. Not much to a rebuild on that tractor or cost. Shop to split my ford was only...
As a Kid I worked at a machine shop in the summer. That one seen it's better days! If it didn't get the crankshaft and the bearing caused that damage my guess it's rebuildable. Parts was my biggest concern but that's not a problem apparently? No reason for block damage I can tell. And wet...
My Yanmar isn't positive traction, so I really have to be careful on it. Happened a few times. Drive side looses traction and your as! is stuck! sideways on a hill. The FM mower will lock it up and prevent any rollover. Pucker factor is way up there when it happens!!! Never happened on my Ford...
Don't block the access from maint. Esp. grease fittings,Wheels bearing, adj. the brakes etc.. Or easy to remove or move them if needed. Weight on 3Pt. hitch would be about the same principal. JMO!
My ford FEL. No PS.. Yet!! Keeping it factory as I can. Finding Fluid in the rears I was skeptical when I found that out. No complaints using R-1 tires. I keep a old International on the 3Pt. for ballast also. Big difference using the FEL.. Only a 5' but it's super heavy. Worst case drain the...
Fredrick's equipment shows F215 Strainer cover. There most likely a Tube type screen/filter behind it. They call it IP-4555 Strainer cover with O-Ring F-20/F-265. Then a filter itself Oil type spin on HF-1120 F14/F215. for '02 & '20 series.
Make sure those are clean and the correct amount of...
You name the critter and I have it. My clay soil the Bridgestone leave no tire marks as long as it's dry. Wet you have to be careful. I cut a putting Grn. pretty much! Been tempted to pin it!! ;)
The tractors stay under a carport now. Dry and seldom gets cold in Ga.. It's Pollen season though. I've been curious how well the Oil pan air cleaner really does work! Skeptical! Only the Second season in use. Fairly NTM.. It's used mostly in winter so I wasn't all that worried about it. After...
My Ford the 2 stage was stuck engaged. The shop that split it showed me were someone was in it. We agreed pry bar though the starter. No avail there either.... A lot of signs rust was the cause.
Wheel Weight that fit JD. the Ym240 JD. is the same wheel. I run water in my 63 Ford And can't complain. It was in the Rear tires when I purchased it. My thinking then I was skeptical and I could always just drain it! Not the first complaint. Have the huge lug Org. bridgestones on the Yanmar and...
Coal dust was a problem but they pretty much have that taken care of, Grand father worked the mines shift boss. WV.. City carbon and smoke was a problem also. Pitts. Pa. was the worst! Now they have that cleaned up pretty much along with the Automobile emissions. I stay old school simple and...
This truck BA. new gas around 1.25 a gallon. "12 MPG. Hwy." pulliing a Ranger bass boat. Running the 65 MPH. Speed limit. It's a 01 F-250 with a 5.4 4Spd. Auto. 373 Towing Package. 39 Gal. tank! ATL. to Disney non stop when the Gas light come on. 390 miles so I still had gas.
Father retired...
American threaded Pin on the L.and the Org. Yanmar R.. The small Metric Threads wear out. Standard threads screw right in and I Locked with a Locking Washer and Nut so it doesn't come loose anymore. Actually fell out before mowing so I had to lock it up!
I'm doing Maint. it's that time again and just ran across this ordering Filters Etc.. What it cost to rebuild the Org. Starter. And that was after I put the Ghetto rig on it that lasted around 3Yrs. Turned the Brushes Around and the shop said there wasn't nothing left of them. They knew I was In...
I know what your saying but I can't understand Why? Yanmar USA? Kind of a unusual problem. Fredricks show the YM2310 and the Ym2500 both ose the same Solenoid SS-502 The YM2500 uses the same starter and Solenoid as the JD.850,950 so a JD. dealer should have the correct one. Your on the other...
If it works for you is what matters! Just had mine out Yesterday Count of 5 oil light went out and it fired right up. The org. I had rebuilt in 5-/2011 72.00$ And My Tractor stayed all Org. Except the Solenoid and Bushings the starter. Big plus for me! Sounds like a Hard starting problem and...
My shifter was broken. Stuck in Reverse. Found that out the hard way. The shop that replaced the 2 stage clutch on a 63-2000 had trouble and had to welded on it. Twice!! Been working ASIS for a couple Yrs.. The clutch was actually stuck and the shop showed it to me, They pry bared it to try and...
I keep both tractors under a carport. I like the ease of access. Don't smoke the shop up with Diesel Etc.. I First tried the tarp but it was pitiful. I used sheet metal roofing so if you start with a good solid frame And tarp it you can always add as the time and $ permits. Weather also!
Owned a Org. YM2000 since 2008 which is my FM. tractor. I rebuilt a 63 Ford for the size and Hp.. Org. Era. FEL.. 12V. and still using points!... My Yanmar was a imported rice patty tractor. Favorite!!
Parts should be available. With a production Yr. 2016- current ? Tractor Data. I would ask for the parts availability for it here. I see the YT2 often and not sure of the Specs.. Yanmar USA. is Ga.. YT2 Series | YANMAR Tractor
Remaining pressure days later sounds like a dirty clogged up radiator. Air pressure pockets is what I call it. Running should be around 13-15 PSI.. A big chain Auto parts store will rent or lend a test kit to check it.
Waters not deep enough and my Diesel Yanmar Screws in. Typical for a JD. model also. My old ford is a dip stick with a rain cap. So that may of happened.

Just in front of the starter you can see the cap. Been inside the starter before and It's water tight.
