Your machine lets you keep the PTO engaged when you are out of the seat? Is it older or did you disable? Mine I have to put in neutral, lift seat off of safety switch, then engage the PTO.

I agree. My rear blower chute control (rotate) is on a rear remote and it works great. You are turned around that way anyway so the remote lever is actually more accessible than the FEL control (at least in the Grand L 60)

Your friend is in for months if not years of hassle with the regen system on that machine. They were sold a tractor with a very, very problematic emissions system. It has a ECM so deleting will be more difficult, probably not worth the hassle. I recommend they sell it.

Under no circumstances should you buy a B3350. The dealer should be ashamed for even attempting to sell that tractor. My dealer refused to sell them long before Kubota did.

That helps. ZT is they best way to mow non-bumpy grass, so if you already have one adding a MMM for a tractor would just make it faster. I would still be careful with the round bales on the front. You could get a 3 PT bale spear and use that, but you cant lift them very far.

There is no way you are moving an 800lb round bale safely with that machine. You will only mow 17 acres 1 time with a MMM before you decide to just raze the field instead. If you want economical open station look at the L series Kubota (or other brands of your choosing). I still dont think...

Have you put eyes on these 2 machines side by side? You will instantly understand. They have very different use cases. The issue you have is the MX will probably be better in the woods. The M60 will be better in the field. As long as you have the clearance (M60 is really tall) in the woods...

You should wait to buy a tractor until you have the land for it. You may want a different machine for 20 acres vs 3 acres, etc.

The zerk seat is controlled by a spring loaded lever. So you open the seat, put it on the zerk, then close it over. Nice tight fit and easy to get off. Can’t tell you how many knuckles and fingers I have bashed over the years trying to get the standard ones off.

I use the milwaukee battery powered grease gun with a locknlube. I had to get the right angle adapter for the locknlube…a few tight spots on the M62 boom swing points. The only bad thing about the locknlube is its pretty long, so harder to get into a tight angle than the traditional tips.

I would not buy a hydraulic front blower for anything but a high flow skid steer. Avoid it. Just get a rear PTO version.

I would look at the M6060 or M7060. Gear machine is better for mowing and field work in my opinion. After you finish that grading/dirt work you will appreciate the M60 in the field. You could go batwing with the M60 series (10 maybe 12ft) and can move large rounds with it no problem.

We went backwards with the new house. No internet connected appliances, lights, google this or alexa that. No smart tv. Just the computers/ipads/phones. Those are bad enough! But you can easily get a computer with no camera. Just buy a desktop.

A few more things I noticed. The u48 has the next size up in the bucket quick coupler. So you will need new buckets if you move up...but you would need those anyway if you move to a bigger machine. Where did you see the U48-5 has 3 different pumps? I haven't run across that yet.

The KX040 with 6 way blade and cab is 10,300. Its just over 5T. 14k trailer is pushing it. 12k Trailer I doubt it. The 057 is over 13k I believe. I do agree OP should look at Kx057 or equivalent or larger machine. However OP is into CDL territory.

Boomer 50 is a LS tractor. Do you have a LS dealer around? You can probably save a few thousand $$$. 50HP is not enough for a round baler of any decent size. Are you doing small squares for horses?

I reset it every time I fill up and watch it religiously. It’s honest. Maybe your friends dog it too much! I drive 2 hours up into the mountains almost all highway 55-70mph (5500-8600 ft elevation gain total) then back down. That is 23 mpg. I do it every week.

I use Gaia GPS…but these GPS apps areNT perfectly accurate. What we do in the woods is use a compass, find the degree we want to go towards, have a person go out there 50-100ft and stand, get them to line up with that direction and drive a stake. You move to the stake and Repeat.
