Between a basic JD or a lemon
I would not spend money money on a known problem

Most of us have no problems with tier 4 tractors. The 3350 is a known lemon.Use a little logic in this situation. Consider that the regen system has already failed at 500 hours. Do you want a tractor with this known issue? I ran a business with a fleet of Kenworth truck tractors. The regen systems easily cost more than all other maintenance on those trucks. I'm talking tens of thousands of dollars in the first 200,000 miles of use.
I was about to go look at and probably buy a JD 790 a couple of weeks ago. It sold before I could get to the dealer. I wouldn't mind finding an older Kubota either. Just no tier 4 junk, please. I can't afford it.
Most of my small tractor work doesn't require running the engine at 1600 or 1800 rpms. I would have a problem with tier 4. Now, when I'm putting in crops with the big tractor, it's running 2200 rpm for hours on end. I have read about and watched videos that said to stay away from the 3350. Might be a good machine if there is a way to delete the tier 4 system. Most of us have no problems with tier 4 tractors. The 3350 is a known lemon.
The JD 790 is a solid machine, just check what the FEL, the 300 and 419 are the better ones versus the JD 70. At 14k, it should be and look in top shape, here is one with low hours.. https://www.tractorhouse.com/listing/for-sale/207683713/2002-john-deere-790-less-than-40-hp-tractorsHey guys/gals, this is my first post. I’ve creeped for a long time, but have finally felt the need to ask for everyones help. I am looking into buying a 2014 Kubota B3350, I have read all of the horror stories concerning the Tier 4 regen system. So, here is my question, this particular tractor has 500 hours on it. And i am told that the regen system has been totally replaced/rebuilt (whatever they do). I know it WAS done at the kubota dealer under warranty. Since it now has just over 500 hours on it, is it safe to assume its working correctly? Or is there a way i can manually force it to regen when i test drive it on Monday? Please make any recommendations that you think may be helpful, and ill aswer all the questions that i can.
Thanks (a ton)in advance !!!!!
