Fiskars. I had a couple landscape cutters lose their spring thingy. I called, emailed a picture, and they shipped new ones.

Snap-On tools. Same thing.

On Fiskars web page is a button with an email address you can send them a picture of your broke tool and they'll send you a new one, or a part. The replacements come out of Madison WI so its pretty fast for us. No other communication needed. Fiskars makes some pretty darn good tools but that service is also tops.. My goal for tools is to buy ones that don't break in the 1st place.. But we have many, many Fiskars built ones here.

I have 2 zippo lighters that belonged to my father. They are both beat to hell. Both of the have navy insignias on them.

One of the is engraved with a date on front, Mar 17, 1960 and on the back "Air Antisubmarine Squadron Thirty Two"

I have often thought about trying to get them repaired, but they'd probably have to replace the cases and I'm guessing they are not really replaceable, so I just keep them in a box as they are.
Ya, i have a brass one with a broken hinge I've been afraid to send in.

Fiskars and Snap-On are debatable. Fiskars is based in Sweden I believe and imports their tools in this country and Snap on is made everywhere as well and a lot of their stuff is imported from Taiwan. I know I buy tool truck tools.

You are kind of blurring the made here with made elsewhere and sold here.

From Wiki, an old company in Finland.

Fiskars was founded in 1649, and today is one of the oldest companies in Finland. Throughout the years we have held on to the things that unite our brands and make us unique; lasting design, superior craftsmanship, and an intimate understanding of the everyday. This is our story.

Fiskars Ironworks founded

When the ironworks were founded in Fiskars, Finland was under Swedish rule, and Sweden was one of Europe’s biggest producers of iron in the seventeenth century. In 1649, Peter Thorwöste was granted the privilege of setting up a blast furnace and bar hammer in Fiskars and for the manufacture of cast iron and forged products.

Princeton Tec : I bought an Apex LED light from them for mainly camping as I had retired from cave exploring. A few years went by and the clips that hold the battery case to the headband broke. They repiared it and sent it back. It may have been a brand new one. Last year I went to grab my Apex while camping and part of the plastic in the battery compartment that holds the batteries in place had sort of crumbled. Also the right lamp on switch had become stiff. All I had to do was pay to ship it to them. A couple weeks later I got a brand new one sent to me. Also made in the USA.

Buck knives, Pro Shot (gun cleaning products), Springfield Armory and Weatherby have all been great when I have dealt with them and stood behind their products. On my Springfield I just called to get some parts to replace that had some wear or broke when I took it apart and they sent me all the new parts I needed. Buck has never questioned a warranty, Weatherby covered it when I told them it was my mistake. Pro Shot has never once questioned a claim from me on a rod and when I had a cousin overseas in Afghanistan and called to gt a bunch of product to send to him (for some reason the ARMY lacked cleaning supplies) they direct shipped a HUGE box of everything I requested straight to him.
Springfield has a lot of making up to do. Luckily the gun owners in IL called them out on their BS and they quickly changed their tune.

I had the pleasure of visiting Fiskars Village at Fiskars, Finland. The old buildings had old machinery still powered by jack shafts which were powered by a water wheel. Quite an interesting historical place.
