Help with a grease fitting Kioti 3510

I have a 2019 Kioti 3510 that I am having an issue with a couple of the grease fittings on the loader.

It appears as if grease is coming out the side of the fitting when I'm filling it.

I've attached a picture of one fitting and circled where the grease is coming out.

What causes this? And how do I fix it?

Any help will be appreciated.

You are pumping grease into this fitting. Where do you expect the grease that is already in there to go. It's gotta come out somewhere.

Try repositioning the FEL. The grease might come out the other side.

Your greaseable joint is, most likely, like mine. A solid rod with a small hole drilled half way down the center of the rod. Then a small hole from the center to the surface of the rod. The grease goes down the drilled hole and enters the "fitting" at the center via the hole drilled to the surface.

FYI - I have one grease fitting on my FEL that WILL NOT take grease. I have to reposition the FEL and then the zerk takes grease just fine.

This one grease fitting - on the FEL - could probably be permanently "fixed" by rotating the pin. In the normal - everything off - position, the little hole that feeds grease to the entire pin is sealed off.

I guess - out of the 24 or so zerks on the entire tractor - I'm just lucky it's only one.
