Hi all, I have a blown head gasket. Just wondering if anyone has replaced one and how much of a job it is? It’s a 2005 CK25 HST with 1300 hrs.
Kioti CK25 head gasket replace.

Thanks for the reply. Did you have any head work done and did you find what caused the problem?
Head gasket was damaged, don't know the cause. I caught it because it pressurized the cooling system and was spitting coolant out the overflow tube on the reservoir. I had the head machined to ensure if was flat, machine shop said it didn't take much and was otherwise good. The original head gasket was fiber looking and the replacement from the dealer was multi layer metal so I'm hoping the new design is more robust. I'm not a mechanic so might have missed some clues, but it's back together and working fine.

Going to pull the head on Friday
Having a diesel mechanic friend of mine help, or should I say I’ll help him!
I’ll post the results good or bad! My friend says it’s a head gasket, cracked block or a cracked head!

Good news! It only took my friend 2 hours to get the head off, if was a leaking head gasket! I called a Kioti dealer and they wanted 5 large to do the job, including resurfacing and valve seals,WTF is up with that price?
