Kioti ck25 front drive shaft

I have a 2006 ck25 and something is gone in the front differential. I use it daily and have been all summer with front wheels disengaged. I have to fix this before the snow comes but without taking it apart I don't know what has to be replaced. If I take out the front shaft will I still be able to use it in 2 wd? Thanks, any input would be much appreciated, Len.

On a tractor, the entire drive train for the front axle still spins all the time, even in 2WD. It's simply not connected to the rear axle.

So you may want to figure out exactly what's wrong with it before causing any more damage.

thanks for the info. Guess I better take it apart and see. I'll have to get a real mechanic to take a look.
