Hay Ride Wagon Build

I asked our marketing consultant on ideas for the logo. She likes Frazier’s Flyer (our last name) and instead of Town and Country put Friends and Family. She quickly sketched this out. Man I wish I had her talent. Thoughts?

That's a great idea; it's creative, and avoids copyright infringement lol.

It will look so good!

Your wife's logo is much more creative and better done but my vote is for the original logo only because that's what was and what people remember. I suppose either would work but I like original. The company will be thrilled that you built it.

I saw another one years ago that had a lawnmower engine underneath to slowly drive a wheel. You couldn't see it. It had an original looking wagon handle with a stiffened piece of rope tied to it and the other end to a little kid on his tricycle and "pulling" the wagon. Very cute.

Got hubs and dust caps painted. Still needs to cure a bit longer but I managed to get wheels on one side with caps in place. Did not drive them in yet just wanted to see how it looked. Not bad.

First weekend since I got the wagon no rain. 😂

What are the items on the to-do list? Timetable?

I was looking at a step and my wife ordered it for me as a surprise so that’s done now. It will make 3 equal 12” steps into the wagon.

The next thing is the logo. My man is drafting that now but we are still trying to figure out the placement. The kids wagon starts the logo just forward of the center line. On my wagon, the stake post are right in the middle of where the logo should go. But the center line of my wagon gives him 48” to work with. So I am leaning towards just centering the logo. It likely will look okay but probably will drive me nuts because I know it is wrong. :ROFLMAO:

I swear, you would think this is some classic car the way I am fussing over it but at the end of the day it is just a wagon.

Anyway, weather permitting it should be done in the next few weeks.

It will prove worth it for all the praise you get when people tell you "I had a wagon jet like that" only smaller.

Do you have power? Clients of mine in Hideaway have been out since Tuesday morning and one of them told me it's not expected to be back on until Sunday

We had power when I left this morning. We lost power on Friday for 8 hours.

Lost power after uprooted tree fell across power line. Shocked the lines didn't snap.

Your graphic artist may be able to show you an overlay in software of what your choice of logos would look like when placed on your wagon. Should be able to move the size, color and location in software.

Yes. As COO of our company I have officially declared tomorrow as “Bring You Wagon to Work Day!” The logo will be painted this weekend! I made a mock up of what it will look like, sorta. I used the test drawing he did as practice so you have to zoom in to see it and with reduced quality for easy loading some of the details is missing. But hopefully you can get the idea.

I was thinking this morning how I would love to get a family photo taken with all of us in the wagon. If I can ever get everyone together at once I will hire a professional photographer to take some pictures. It is hard to get that done though as one lives in Hawaii and the others work some weekends. Also 2 of the grandkids spend every other weekend with their dad.

Wish my dad was still alive to see it. He would absolutely get a kick out of doing this.

A pro could add them in digitally if it came to it.

Would need to think through how to pose the ones at home in a way that the others could be added in seamlessly. One way would be to shoot your wagon as a backdrop and then layer in the individuals in front later in software.

Or shoot the shot with the wagon and those present, and then for the ones not present use that shot to "shoot to layout" in Capture One pro.

I was wondering if a ceramic wax would help protect the finish. Something to help keep it from fading would be nice. Any suggestions?
