I wouldn't want to ride in the back "seat" of anyone's extended cab, nor would I ask anyone I liked to do so...I've had to ride a couple times in the back of an F-250 and a Chevy 1500...neither was even remotely comfortable. Maybe a small child, but that would be it.I had a couple extended cabs (dakota, chevy 2500, personnel, and work, dakota, gmc 1500, ram) and currently have a Ram 1500 crew. I like the crew, But as the kids get grown and move out, I wouldn't mind an extended cab. The dakota, back seat was a joke, and not meant for people to sit in; the Chevy2500/GMC1500, it wasn't bad for an adult for trips under an hour or two.
That space is perfect for Dogs, tools or groceries.I wouldn't want to ride in the back "seat" of anyone's extended cab, nor would I ask anyone I liked to do so...I've had to ride a couple times in the back of an F-250 and a Chevy 1500...neither was even remotely comfortable. Then again, I rarely if ever have the need to carry more than one passenger, so the x-cab is fine for me. More of a place to put stuff than a person.
ArlyA, I really like those over the wheel well tool mounts! Where did you find them and what exactly are they called? I can't enlarge enough to read the red tag. I'd like to get a pair for my '99 Ram 1500. Thanks, GregAdded another tool mount to the bed rack today. Was loosing my axle in the clutter back there...... View attachment 824239View attachment 824240
