Will UAW Strike?

The year is 2030. A new Silverado has an MSRP of $120,000. Plus an additional $50,000 internal combustion engine tax.

Think that's a funny ha ha to make a point...

Nope, that is what it will cost at the current price trend.

Maybe the tax angle was a funny ha ha. But maybe not.

Maybe the UAW leader is a mole for more offshoring as the strike could turn out to be the perfect cover to shutter plants forever…
Well at least he is well paid and doesn't have to go on strike! ;)
And the mole part is current standard procedure.

By design, the trend is to take power away from the people by taking there money/savings away.

How much ripple will effect other auto and truck makers such as Tesla, BMW, VW, etc… all with factories stateside?

If this strike goes on for a while, I'm waiting for Elon to announce a price decrease just to stick it in the eye of The Big 3.

The UAW builds more than just automobiles. They have over 600 local unions in north america with more than 400,000 active and nearly 600,000 retired members. They all pay union dues every month to cover expenses.

The CEO's at the big 3 are scratching out a bloated wage;

Barra at GM, $29 million
Farley at Ford, $21 million
Tavares at Stellantis, $24 million

Those CEOs could work for free and we could give all the union employees $0.03/hr raise (guesstimate)

Always comical to me when the C suite salaries are called into question as the ‘problem’ and reason for ‘under paid’ working class.

Could be as high as $0.24/hr.

ok

Will the union employees also take a pay cut when profits shrink or give back pay when there are no profits?

If they want a two way street, lets really make it a two way street.
