U. P. is flat, other than a few rolling hills. I like it though and have traveled through many times heading NW. Geesh still snow there?

ArlyA, I don't remember the road numbers much anymore, but I came from Duluth Mn., into Wisconsin, then into the upper peninsula of Michigan on my route to Sue Saint Marie. If I remember right (it's many decades ago) it was a 2 - 3 hour drive. A very scenic drive however unless it was during the "very often" snowstorms! Good memories of my younger days though!

Ranger towing camper. Having a trail brake module added to the Ranger next week which is needed in the flat UP with just a few little hills.

New camper being towed. New one is 2800lbs plus maybe 500lbs of junk added on. This is about the max I'd like tow with this beloved truck.

Nope. I good samaritan owned it to us to do work on trails with. Do wish I was!

All we have is hills. Many roads here have switchbacks in them. It handled it fine but I'd definitely get a larger vehicle if I needed to haul that on a regular bases. I like to stay we'll below max towing capacity.

General reminder to everyone. Make sure you add these when deciding if your vehicle is rated to tow your load:

+Tractor weight
+Loader weight
+Loader implement weight
+3 point implement weight
+ loaded tire fluid weight
+ Trailer weight
+anything else on the trailer

Also, make sure your hitch setup is rated for the load and if you are required to have a trailer brake controller.
