successful morning
back is not happy but got it done

cover is built for two person rack and is too big.
plus I think it and almost any cover would continue to block
view of license plate.

that seems like an invite to a bored LEO hoping I have ten kilos aboard, get a commendation,
maybe a medal.
at least it's something to keep it clean and it gets it out of the garage while stored here.

I've seen lots of rvs go by with big bikes and cargo under cover, blocking the license plate.
kinda wondered how that turned out

upon further inspection, saddlebags nicer than I thought, closer to cordura than plastic.
seems like a lot of loose stuff flapping too close to rear wheel and chain, but I think I'll leave them off.
I'd rather have an open box in the rear, think empty weight box on tractor.
Friend said he thought my rear tire looked a little fat.
hmmm, well I'm not light, and I pumped it to 30psi out of max 35
If I'm going to carry more weight in rear, better go 35. Lack of decent suspension means tires being a little
soft helpful. I'm sure the less rolling resistance the better.

bottom line is I'll take the saddlebags with me, and if I have a need for them, will put them on.
I've gone off to the Piggly Wiggly in a golf cart, but not a bicycle before. when opened all the way, those bags will hold
a half gallon of milk easily.

Had to call roofer and ask where they were at. Some big job elsewhere, says his schedule was not working.

Yeah, this guy got six figures from me this year. WTH.

Called the Kubota dealer, cannot come to pick it up before Friday. First thing they say is well you did not replace the switch we recommended. WTH. The switch tests good and still tests good. WTH.

I think I have a bad case of the Monday's. (That's a joke from a favorite movie of mine).

Sheesh....

<snip>
will have to rethink my approach.
maybe an e trike on a rear platform with a
built in ramp.
where there is a will there is a way.

I'd rather have an open box in the rear, think empty weight box on tractor.
Something like the GearDeck?
link to Geardeck

Please keep us posted on the good and bad of your ride. I'm looking at getting one of their trikes, mainly for short distant trips, like to and from my sheds when I have to carry stuff.
Versus driving the Honda Civic which I have to shoe horn myself into.

I think you may want an electric cargo bike to carry your groceries like this one

Lou, I looked at one just like that, it was two inches too short in one dimension.
but that's exactly the right idea

finished food shopping, warm and muggy out, thunderstorms due in around dinner time.

that trike looks like what Newbury was talking about; I don't need anything so heavy duty

74°F and .02 inches rain. Dora approaching. Wind Supposed to pick up. These warmer temps must be relevant as well. Not forecast as a big rain event as she is very far South.

Guess I’ll be taking down umbrellas and looking to secure anything obvious.

Trip to PO later this morning after I write that check supporting the local rift raft.

Zoom Happy Hour this afternoon.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good morning! Low of 60°, heading towards 90°. Slight chance (20%) of a stray t-storm. My guess is that we are in the 80% that it isn't going to happen.....

Drew, that's a neat bike, especially the seat. Sounds like you might need a handheld GPS unit?

Kyle, yes, we are "stuck in the middle", and get weather systems from 4 different directions.... problem is those systems always change direction before they reach us.

Today is house cleaning day. Moving the furniture, moving all the nick-knacks and dust/ polishing, window cleaning... the list goes on and on...... Glad this "heavy clean" is only 4x a year. The routine clean is much easier done every couple days......

The MIL is coming tomorrow to stay with us until Saturday. Nothing 'special' planned. I hope to get some extra "piddling" done... I think the tractor needs to be washed and waxed.... that might take a couple days...

After cleaning, might re-organize the garden supply area, just need to get the nursery pots and accessories staged in an out of the way area.

OK, break is over......

Everyone have a great day!
