Wife's first pfizer, on the second day, had all kinds of energy, third day feeling pretty punky. Her second one, punky on second and third day. My first moderna, just alittle sore in shoulder, where shot was, nothing else for the last 4 days since.

Lost a cousin and her husband 3 weeks ago from covid.

Did a few quick searches and did not see anything of value...

About the only thing coming up was memory loss with Covid Long-Haulers

I got the first dose of Pfizer two days ago, not to bad, and I really hate needles. My sister in law works at a hospital about an hour away from us. She got an email saying they were opening up to family members and they had a 156 doses. I think the idea was family members in the same household but they didn’t seem to picky. You got the idea they had 156 leftover doses and they wanted 156 arms to put them in.

Let 'em turn it down. That's more sooner for those that don't shy away. I'll get my second Moderna Mon, Apr 12 if the sky doesn't fall of something by then. After that it can. Prayers for those who have lost friends or loved ones. We still have each other.

Well, last Thursday I popped in to see my GP as my prescriptions were due for repetition; out of curiosity I asked how the COVID jabs were going and he said that all of the essential people had been done and to ring 'this number' to book an appointment.

Short story is I get my first Astra-Zeneca this Tuesday.

Really, I'm not concerned... I received so many jabs during my Navy career that I'm on my second WHO Immunisation booklet.

Now that all the 'essential' people have been done. You're up... one of the non-essentials. I'm feeling like one.

Yeah, but there was no local announcement that the jab was available here in my wee town. There was a big government 'to do' about clinics/hospitals in the Big Smokes a few weeks back.

If I hadn't have asked, I wouldn't have known... or maybe I'm fortunate in that 'they' had left-over vaccine that they didn't want to waste.

Calling the shots “jabs” is funny.

I never heard the term until a few days ago when I was listening to a BBC report on the radio. They called the shots “jabs” like it was normal.

I guess I need to get out more.

Heard someone not born here referring to injections as pricks...

I just got home from getting "jabbed" the first time (Moderna). My wife and I are still planning on wearing masks until herd immunity is reached. It is what it is...

I'm ok to wear a mask as long as I keep meeting folks who haven't had a vaccine and surprised that so many masked wait staff at dine-in locations haven't yet. 😮 I'm more used to wearing a mask than annoyed by it. Only sucks when outside and my lenses fog up.

btw, yesterday at HD I saw a burb with fancy wheels taking up two parking spaces not far from the door. Two young gangsta-looking white mask holes came out of the store, jumped in, revved up their noisy pipes and burned rubber as if anyone was impressed. Yep, Florida plates, redneck types spreading the joy.

At the small ACE hardware yesterday to pick up new faucet stems...

Place packed to gills... no distancing and as I was getting my item from the bottom shelf two people leaning over me...

Rules vary from place to place with most stringent the hospital where I work

Wow . . . I don't like people leaning over me in good times . . .

Had I not had both Moderna I would have been out of there...

Plumbing Supply closed weekends... so slim pickens...

It's been a year now and mom has only seen grandson and family once on December 25th and that was on patio...

My niece graduates from high school in June... such a bright and social young lady who really enjoyed high school... her online grades still tops but all traditional high school out the window...

Plan to have something extra special come graduation...

Just got back from my daughters college field hockey game. Even though D-1, the stands were empty except for parents. Have to sit in family “pods”. You get assigned a number and you sit at that number (decal on bleachers)
Students outside the chain link fence cheering in masks.
Good times.

Yep - it’s strange.

I officiate DI tennis and some schools are prohibiting all spectators. Some don’t have a spectator policy. Even in the best of times, tix to a college tennis match are not difficult.

DIII schools are much more cautious than DI. No overnight trips. Limits the match opportunities.

It was weird, her team traveled to Miami of Ohio for a game, fans in stands. Next school, no fans.
