Here is the Utility Grapple for the 1430. After driving around and picking up fallen limbs and smaller size trees, I would just like to fill everyone in on what I think of it.

1. This is a light/medium duty grapple that is made out of 3/8" plate steel, and is very handy for sliding in under brush, trees, etc.

2. By the one picture you can see that it can hold a massive volume of material, and dumping the stuff out of it works really nice too; no hang up.

3. The 29" wide grapple with the open sides is a bonus, because it allows for holding more stuff in the grapple, and it not being so wide makes it nice for not having to get the tractor lined up perpendicular to the trees/brush, etc.

4. The visibility is great. You can see really well while sliding the base underneath whatever you are picking.

5. The cylinder is super powerful compared to the strength of the grapple, and the cylinder can damage the grapple if the operator clamps down on the material too much. So, you really have to be careful or you will bend the base of the grapple!

The Utility Grapple comes with a neat "Mini Me Pallet!" I've never seen a pallet so small.I don't think you can see the trees in the grapple too well because of the leaves on the ground. IMG_0828.jpgIMG_0829.jpgView attachment 626563View attachment 626564

The base of it seems to have allot of springiness to it. I壇 like to know what it is made out of? It might be mild steel, I am not sure?

This Utility Grapple is how you said it was John. When crushing material inside the grapple, one has to be very careful. For all the more I paid for it compared to other grapples, I could easily reinforce that bottom part if I wanted to. Yeah, those Wicked brush grapples are nice. Did you check out the grapples for mini skid steers on the Skid Steer Solutions | The Trusted Equipment Source website? They have a couple of nice ones on there too. This is the one that I was thinking about getting; Blue Diamond Mini Skid Steer Grapple Bucket | Skid Steer Solutions . I'm glad that I got the one from PT though. The hoses on it could be a few inches longer. I should call down and mention that to them.

Yes, I have been checking out everything that the internet offers. First I have to sell a 4 in 1 bucket that is way too big for the PT, then will have $ to get another attachment. Please keep us posted on all the work you get done with it.

Yep, I sure will.

So, you don t think your grapple works out that well with the 1430?

The PT made grapple bucket works very well. I just like having the right tool for the job and an open sided bucket or skeleton frame would work better, not sure how much, but better. The 4 in 1 is 66" wide and made for a much heavier tractor and tips the PT forward just by articulating.

Correction, the hoses are not to short. There was a wire tie on the one hose where it comes out of the cylinder, and I was thinking it was to free up more hose. I cut it off and now I have an extra 3 or so inches of hose. The length is perfect now.
