Stihl isn稚 worthy of the blind praise across all models that many people give it.
Blind? I just cannot SEE having a Husky

Other then size of saw, type of chain, size of trees can be used as a dept guide on saw chain rakers, so if your cutting mostly small trees and bushes, probably shouldn't give the rakers a crew cut. But if using a Husqvarna, the best saw in the world, and cutting big firewood and logs then that is where a mule and a ox will work the best.
Stihl makes a fine saw along with others that don稚 have the brand recognition those 2 do but Stihl isn稚 worthy of the blind praise across all models that many people give it.
Jonsereds come down the same line as Husqvarna... Same basic saw, but nearly all models of Jonsereds are now discontinued.Jonsered anyone? I have a 2166. Made by Electrolux who also makes Huskies.

Old news. Electrolux bought Husqvarna in 1978, then spun it off in 2006.
I am a little behind the news![]()

I just ordered the Pferd sharpener after reading the reviews. Worth a try for less than $35.
This topic bleeds more prejudice than the HST versus Gear discussions. Everyone is an expert.![]()
I hate it too, and never do it!!The biggest difference is, one needs a battery, the other difference Granberg is a lot cheaper but if I had to file by hand the Timberline seem like a good option to me. There's something about filing I just cant stand, maybe it's the back&forth motion I dont like.
