JD 2030 Tractor SERIAL #?

Tach cable attaches to RH side of flywheel housing under battery box & drives from end of camshaft. I agree I have thought it was a 2020 since near the beginning of this thread.

In the drawing from jd parts, key 20 is showing a plug (if no tach) this is where the tach cable connects. Upper right side of clutch housing

Well DUH!!!! Thanks Z5 for posting photo. I wasn't considering the clutch housing was bolted BEHIND flywheel housing.

As I stated earlier the tach cable connection is under RH side of battery box
