Anyone see our other senator around, john cornyn, during this time in Texas history.

Have seen limited Cruz sightings (and he's from Houston), and nothing on Cornyn. Awfully quite from these two. My congressman (Farenthold) has also been MIA. But then again, Farenthold is rarely in the news, unless he's doing something stupid.

Tedly is all over the local news. He lives in Houston.

As a segue-how are the mosquitoes where you are? Good Lord the are awful here. There are so many, they hit you when you walk and it feels like getting hit by raindrops.

Hopefully the mosquito fish I have left will take any mosquitos here out. I have only noticed one yesterday. The Love bugs are still bad here. I do need to buy more mosquito fish.

I think I read somewhere that the Mosquito Fish were very popular in Australia (I think?) and they their population increased to a point of being a big problem, think grass carp?

That is a Australia website. They are legally sold in Texas. I'm gonna buy them here when ready. The ones I have/had are the same size as Fathead minnows.

Senator Cornyn has lived in Austin for years.


I've been in Corpus, Port A, Refugio and surrounding areas all week and only had problems getting gas in Refugio. That was because the stations were hit by wind damage. The ones open had gas. All stations in Corpus I was close to had gas. No problem.

Drive north where there was no damage, flooding or problems at all and started seeing bags on pumps and pumps coned off. If people don't have problems they make some.

Mentioning seeing our congress critters here is not "political crap". Just a headsup about who is helping out in the aftermath of Harvey. Asking a question about a congress critter is not "political crap" either. Talking politics would be "political crap".
