The WICKED Root & Debris GRAPPLE!!!!!!!

That could be mine!! 60" double lid with intermediate tines. Shipped yesterday and scheduled to be here Tuesday.

Travis told me there were 2 ordered exactly the same way and they went through production together. He sent me pictures of the twins together :)

I believe the other one is mine. I gotta wait a little longer, it's coming all the way out west. You don't see many Wicked Grapples out here.

I see a new clothing line opportunity there Travis!!!

How do I place my order for the dual pocket? :drink:

It's a little reminiscent of a Wrangler ad, isn't it? Instead of Brett Farve, we have Peanut!

The WICKED Root & Debris GRAPPLE!!!!!!!

Thanks

Basically proving my point. 3 responders with multiple experience out of how many people who come here.

2 of them would keep both and one who prefers the single lid.

So how many others have owned and used both single and dual lid in say the same size?
How many others like us have owned both small and large grapples?
How many who have an add on grapple on a bucket and don't think they ever need more?

I know a guy with a 3 in one bucket and an other guy who has a grapple on a set of forks they would both argue they see no need to have anything else but yet they have never had any experience with anything else.

So imagine if everyone here had the multiple use on multiple properties experience. I would think we would see the list asked for but it would be surprising for some to realize just how untrue the one answer, one size, one theory fits everyone is so wrong.

If I could only own 1 grapple it would be a 72"dual lid but ten years ago that answer would have been different and 30 years ago even different still. 50 years ago I would have asked why waste the money on something I don't need and 70 years ago my dad would have made me load everything by hand and I would be dreaming about something that could make this darn chore go quicker and easy.:)

Pray tell how does it prove your point that dual lids are definitely better? There were four responses. Two guys say they like both. One prefers single and you prefer double. How does that "prove your point"? Do you work in the White House and like alternative facts?

I have the same tractor you do. I've had a single 48" grapple for ten years and have not once in that time had difficulty clamping a load. And, my lid is narrower and nowhere near as well designed or built as the EA single lid. It does the job. I will note that my 48" Millonzi has a max jaw opening of 42+" which I make use of all the time. What brand and model of single lid grapple did you have and compare??

You don't mention what your typical grapple load or use is but I can list quite a number of examples where a dual 72" would be at a disadvantage compared to mine. For example, working in tight spaces like the woods. Digging stumps or rocks. Lifting loads close to loader max lift capacity. Seeing the edge of the grapple without needing to lean outboard around the FEL arms.

I've often mentioned that cleaning construction debris would be a place where a wider grapple would be preferable. Carrying cut firewood is another although a bucket grapple would be even better.

Everyone loves their grapple and any grapple is clearly superior to none. My first grapple has simply done the job so well that I just don't need to have a second one lying around. If I wanted I could afford ten but I just haven't had a need for a different grapple. I manage with my dinky $500 grapple plus a standard bucket, a 4n1, forks, tree boom and ratchet rake. I wouldn't trade any of them for a wider, heavier grapple.

My main point in this thread has always been to point out that a narrow single lid grapple can do just about any job you'd want a grapple for. I'd love to hear specifics on what your experience was with what type of single that left you wanting a wider heavier grapple.
