Robert from Michigan has a 54" Single Lid Wicked Grapple on his John Deere 3038E.
"Being new to tractors and this industry, your YouTube videos drew me to your company and after further research I learned that I couldn't find the quality design and construction at a comparable price. It stands to reason that you were 5 weeks behind on lead time, but since I wasn't in a hurry, it worked out well for me. Travis on the phone is a true professional with his knowledge and recommendations on this equipment. I love that my American patriot brothers to the south are born and bred for this stuff and know what they're talking about. I am envious of your obviously profitable business in an industry that is productive and beneficial to our economy. Thank you for the video tutorials and the great products at fair prices. Keep up the good work and enjoy the prosperity our veteran forefathers have sacrificed so much to give us!"

Give us an "aw shucks" Travis!![]()
"Spend all that Internet arguing time learning to be a better operator???" Pretty cocky advice from someone who hasn't even taken delivery of his grapple yet.
Makes you wonder why EA goes to the trouble of "racecar design" on their tines to lower the weight of their grapples by 20 lbs if 40-50lbs makes no difference.
As pointed out before, a loss of 50-75 lbs lift capacity is no biggie with a large tractor or skidsteer. For someone operating a medium or small CUT it amounts to 5+% of lift capacity. Certainly a consideration in addition to added cost for ??? benefit over single lid.
And, we're still all waiting for that list of dissatisfied single lid owners....you did do your homework before deciding on the double right?
Dual lid any day of the week
I also have both. Got the 44" single lid first for moving sheared cedar trees. Moved to a place that has a lot of dead oak trees. Got a 72" double lid.
Use it more now, but I am keeping both.![]()
