Ted isn't a fan of expanded metal because he likes maximum visibility,
but it is probably the easiest protection you can add.

The protective rails are a great enhancement and I understand the desire for maximum visibility. Let me point out however that the operator can not see through the nose of the tractor anyway and that is where the vulnerable radiator is. More rails or mesh in that vicinity will not really block the view.

Here is the compromise we came up with on our old homemade brush bucket.
We torched out the sides and left the middle.

Thanks Ted. Our latest project was "The Jeep Test Hill". Most of it was dirt work with a box blade but the Wicked Grapple moved some big fallen tree trunks and limbs out of the lane and uprooted overhanging Yaupon. Unfortunately no pics of the heavy lifting, but here she is cruising up the hill.

These Wicked Grapples are our pride and joy. We are fortunate to have such a great relationship with our customers and are thankful for all of the feedback we receive from them!

Mark from California recently left a review of the 60" Single Lid Wicked Grapple on our website and on the EA Facebook Page.

"Delivery as expected. With in hours of attaching to my L3130 Kubota i was making money with the new grapple. I wish i had purchased this implement years ago. I was able to quickly learn its capabilities. The lid closed so precisely that i could pick up the smallest item while staying on the tractor. Branches, concrete, metal wood debris, it handles everything. Great range of motion, lid operation was easy to use with my 3rd function valve. I will be purchasing other implements from Everything Attachments, great product & thanks for all the videos on how your implements work."

Wicked tines are great for ripping and gripping. They also promote the ability to push through the ground with minimal disturbance!

To be fair, the trade off is that a load of brush is more difficult to dump as the sharp backwards oriented tine teeth will snag brush while the other style is smooth and doesn't snag.

I'll still take the one on the left any day. If you can't handle the Wicked sharpness, file em down!!

Interestingly I do not find it very difficult to dump. At least not in my personal hands on experience... I have not used a smooth grapple and cannot compare, but I have had no major hangups that would cause me grief with the Wicked Grapple. And I have plenty of reasons to not have a pile of burning nuggets and brush following my back out of the fire! :D

Perhaps catching could happen in some circumstances, but I have never found it to be problematic. I suppose if you wanted to slide in and out of piles like with pallet forks, but I don't do any of that. I like to grub, rip, grab, haul, and dump.

Check out the type of roots and brush here. Lots of stringy roots, brush, and deadfall.

Just sharing some empirical input from an actual user.

They are sized pretty well that anything that hangs up will break and fall out. Yet still rip out roots pretty good and great grip on odd shaped or small surface area stuff you want to grab.

The one on the left does look like it would do a better job of bringing the bacon home.

The most amazing thing to me is that after about 100 hours of abuse I still can't slide a piece of paper between the lid and any of the teeth when it's closed. Hard to explain but there is a good 1 1/2"-2" matching surface top and bottom and it's still air tight when the grapple is closed. Figured something would have shifted by now:eek:
