I absolutely love that setup. I had large, tracked, Timber Mulchers come through last year after a logging job, but I sure could use one that would run off the PTO. I know with just over 30HP at the PTO that it would be a tiny unit compared to the big 200 HP machines. There is just enough rough stuff left as to make things hard on my 6' rotary cutter. Travis - can you guys source a high quality, heavy duty, low cost hydro axe mulcher for under two grand?Hahahaha! Sure appears to make a nice compliment to the grapple when working in the woods. Ken - can you hit small stumps with that mulcher if you take it easy? Just get them flush with the ground? Stay safe.
Yes, 4-5" stumps flush to the ground with ease. Bigger than that you need to slow down and ease it.
I did to about (8) 10-12" stumps that were rotted... This is all with dull teeth ... I'm due to sharpen if not rotate them for a new sharp edge
And I bet you wouldn't sell it to Snowback for under 2 grand, even with dull teeth! Travis
We've been shipping them like this for a while, but now it's official. All Wicked Root Grapples come with protective rails on the back as standard equipment. Price stays the same! That would of been sweet!
Maybe I'll add some to mine! I'm thinking some expanded metal.
I really like those pieces between lower jaw tines. Wish I had them on my 72" WG for utility tractors.
My old Millonzi light duty grapple has essentially the same lower tine profile and construction. Still straight after ten years.I really like those pieces between lower jaw tines. Wish I had them on my 72" WG for utility tractors.
This is the style rlgustafson has, which has been featured on every Wicked Grapple since the beginning. Easy pushing to rip up roots and rocks with minimal damage to the soil surface.
