Use # 412 for my grapple. Hauling off our old pool liner for a 20X40 pool.

Still saving me lots of work

I absolutely love that setup. I had large, tracked, Timber Mulchers come through last year after a logging job, but I sure could use one that would run off the PTO. I know with just over 30HP at the PTO that it would be a tiny unit compared to the big 200 HP machines. There is just enough rough stuff left as to make things hard on my 6' rotary cutter.

Travis - can you guys source a high quality, heavy duty, low cost hydro axe mulcher for under two grand? :p Hahahaha! Sure appears to make a nice compliment to the grapple when working in the woods.

Ken - can you hit small stumps with that mulcher if you take it easy? Just get them flush with the ground?

Stay safe.

Yes, 4-5" stumps flush to the ground with ease. Bigger than that you need to slow down and ease it.

I did to about (8) 10-12" stumps that were rotted... This is all with dull teeth ... I'm due to sharpen if not rotate them for a new sharp edge

And I bet you wouldn't sell it to Snowback for under 2 grand, even with dull teeth!

Lol, just a bit shy on cash there....

I do agree in regards to the tractor, the mulcher / grapple has to be my favorite combo / setup together .. (Of course with a chainsaw near by)

It's by far the most productive at least.

We've been shipping them like this for a while, but now it's official.
All Wicked Root Grapples come with protective rails on the back as standard equipment.
Price stays the same!

That would of been sweet!

Maybe I'll add some to mine! I'm thinking some expanded metal.

Ted isn't a fan of expanded metal because he likes maximum visibility, but it is probably the easiest protection you can add.
One could add it even easier to these new protective rails if they wanted to.

Here's a fresh Wicked Grapple review from Eugene in Mississippi.

"After watching a video of Ted attempting to destroy this grapple I decided to purchase one. It is everything I expected and more. A quality manufactured product in every regard. As a former fabricator and engineer I would have been proud to say that I had designed and manufactured such an excellent grapple. While I will never use the grapple the way Ted did, it is nice to know that even with his abuse it held up."

I really like those pieces between lower jaw tines. Wish I had them on my 72" WG for utility tractors.

Thanks!
Those are nice, especially for gripping when you push over trees.

We stuck with the original laminated tines on the model you have to because they're easier to push through the ground than those bulky triangular gussets those plates are bolted onto.
This new, heavy grapple will be on tractors over 80hp and skid steers, so the traction robbing gussets should not be as much of a concern.

My old Millonzi light duty grapple has essentially the same lower tine profile and construction. Still straight after ten years.

Looking at it, it would be easy to weld in sections of schedule 80 between the times. That's all Millonzi did.

This is the style rlgustafson has, which has been featured on every Wicked Grapple since the beginning. Easy pushing to rip up roots and rocks with minimal damage to the soil surface.
