I absolutely love that setup. I had large, tracked, Timber Mulchers come through last year after a logging job, but I sure could use one that would run off the PTO. I know with just over 30HP at the PTO that it would be a tiny unit compared to the big 200 HP machines. There is just enough rough stuff left as to make things hard on my 6' rotary cutter.
Travis - can you guys source a high quality, heavy duty, low cost hydro axe mulcher for under two grand?
Hahahaha! Sure appears to make a nice compliment to the grapple when working in the woods.Ken - can you hit small stumps with that mulcher if you take it easy? Just get them flush with the ground?

Yes, 4-5" stumps flush to the ground with ease. Bigger than that you need to slow down and ease it.
I did to about (8) 10-12" stumps that were rotted... This is all with dull teeth ... I'm due to sharpen if not rotate them for a new sharp edge

Lol, just a bit shy on cash there....
I do agree in regards to the tractor, the mulcher / grapple has to be my favorite combo / setup together .. (Of course with a chainsaw near by)
It's by far the most productive at least.

We've been shipping them like this for a while, but now it's official.
All Wicked Root Grapples come with protective rails on the back as standard equipment.
