No problem, I just put the diagrams vertical to make the cut angle more clear.

The problem is he is trying to mow vertical 90 degrees uphill.

But you guys hit the nail on the head. Need that caster.

If it were mine though, as opposed to cutting it off and rewelding, I'd burn a 30 degree triangle out of each side strap leaving about 1/4" of strap left. Bend til triangle closes up and re-weld.

Similar to using a notcher and bender to make angle iron frames.:thumbsup:
