Skidding Winches

What kind of Winches do you all have?

I've got a Farmi 351 with legs instead of a blade. Paid $900 for it after I found it mislabeled in a Craigslist post. rps20160311_202113_947.jpg

Fransgard has really changed their design, mine doesn't look nothing like that, has no feet so I don't have to worry about it running away. How far back in the last century is that?

Awww jeez, mine's got feet too, and I never even considered it running away. Now I've got something else to worry about!

Tornado got them...and there were quite a few, down in that ravine... They are red oaks, and I cut two 17 footers and a 8' - 6" out of many of them!

Then I pulled the tops out and fire wooded them...

I bet they "hobble" them, when they take them off their tractor! lol

Not sure but early 80s maybee, the feet is a very good solution on a small tractor, it it had a blade I loose almost all ground clearance.

I have a Norse 350 -- new last fall. A god fit for my 40 HP CUT.

Hydraulic, a bit slower than pto operated but I am not in a race. I really enjoy the wireless remote being alone.

You might have the oldest working pto tractor winch. More ground clearance is always good, I have 16" and wouldn't want a inch less.

Should be all set if you have it well trained from being used often, but if you leave it in grown up field for too long, might run off then.

On this you see the very simple construction on the winch with the rubber wheel. Its a factory design.
