I know this has been beat to death on here but I have a question? I currently bought a New Holland and while the tractor is in the shop I asked them go ahead and change the hyd.fluid so its NH Ambra oil,my question is I usually run Kubotas Ashland oil in my other tractors but since going to be using same equipment is there any reason to just not go ahead and use the NH in my Kubotas now this time since its going to mix some anyways now? I am probably thinking to much on it just wonted get some opinions....
I am not a fan in mixing fluids. Pick one and flush all the other brand's out. I would ask NH and Kubota what they thought. Do you have a favorite tractor mechanic at the dealer(s) you can talk with about it?

Maybe you should pm J_J. Seems he's the resident expert on hydraulics.
He "seems" to know a lot about hydraulics. But what about transmissions?:confused3: Any hydraulic fluid will move hydraulic cylinders, but what does one brand's transmission fluid do to another brand's orings and seals? I don't even like putting new automatic transmission fluid in my cars and trucks. New transmission fluid can (and has) cause(d) worn seals to leak.

So I'm out riding on a sunny afternoon. Heading through an area with a tree line on one side. There's a stick in road where the sun is coming through the trees. As I get within thirty feet or so, that stick coiled up, then struck out a bit as I went by. Holy Crap. First rattler of the spring. Glad I avoid riding over sticks. That would be an entirely different kind of puncture.
I hate it when sticks jump out at you. My renter found a copperhead yesterday evening. He texted me a photo. It was well over 2 foot long. Closer to 3 feet. Is there a powder to put out to keep snakes away? If so..........I need to put that around the ducklings cage.

Lost a baby calf this morning. Noticed it laying beside mom but don't think it ever got up. Went to town and bought a new bottle and colostrum. Tried getting some in her but she just went limp and died. Heck of a way to start the day.
Yep, bad way to start a day.

I agree, Brandi, whether we're talking about hydraulic fluid, motor oil, or even antifreeze, perhaps because I grew up working in my Dad's service station and auto parts store where I knew every mechanic in town, then later when part of my responsibilities included fleet management. BUT . . . I'd be the first to admit that my knowledge is dated and some things have changed, so I could be wrong.

I use Snake Stopper to keep snakes out of the pump cover on our garden pond. Works good and smells like cinnamon. But all I have to keep out is garter snakes.

Mothballs or moth crystals. Same active ingredients as the Snake Away (?) Or Snake Rid product. I put them around our chicken coop and have not had a snake since.

I haven't killed but the one chicken snake at the chicken coop couple years ago, haven't seen one since got the cat she is a heck of a hunter,I'm guessing that's what keeps the snakes away. Kill several copperhead in the county road,my parents just come over and they said got one just down the road. The rattlers are about 10miles south from me,we use come across one everytime went hog hunting, always had to look down, haven't heard of none around my neck if woods.
