Dennis we didn’t have electricity till 1958,, they installed one light in the living room in the center with two plug ins,, all the wiring was run on the outside of the walls,:), Now they tell me they can hide it inside the walls.. what next supercomputers..

Jim many of days I set at the creek fishing for catfish and crawfish,, nice simple time just didn’t know it.:D. Lou

Dennis you do make me laugh.. thanks for the smile this morning:laughing:

But on another note:
The U.S, Supreme Court has rebuffed a decades-long attempt by Texas to seize water from Southeastern Oklahoma, primarily from the Kiamichi River Basin -In a ruling issued Thursday morning in Washington D.C., the Supreme Court justices unanimously ruled that the Red River Compact does not give Texas the right to cross the border and take Oklahoma’s water. :confused3:

Darn now what are we going to do when we need a drink of water.. You know living here in Brazoria county we are the last ones to get water,, you might say we are on the bottom of the water chain,, before its flows into the gulf.. lately the only flow in the Brazos, St. Barnard and Colorado rivers is the tide from the gulf. wait water does flow up hill... Lou

Lou, I think Oklahoma took it to court to stop it (us from getting the water) iiRC. I dont think we'd need water if these yo-yo's didn't water so much in the metro-mess.

Why dont y'all pipe it in from the Rio Grande:laughing: May come with a after taste of Tequila, that should cover the flavor they put in from El Paso on down!!

So, I'm at the bottom of the rainfall chart... .7 inch last night...I'll take it but would appreciate some of you folks who have gotten more if you could share a tad with me:)

Well, I'm not talking about Scott or Texas John, but some of you (you know who you are) were talking about multi-inch rainfall amounts when we folks in N. Texas couldn't get much more than a picture of too much rain in San Antonio on the 10 PM news. All that considered, I feel darn lucky to get this terrific rainfall in mid-June, and for which I am eternally thankful.

While my garden is sooo wet, I managed to find a job I could do. I put up my 40% shadecloth. It was a snap to put up using 6' bamboo poles and twist ties to my netting and support cord. Here are a couple of pictures:

...and does anyone see what I see in this photo? Baby blackeyed peas! YEA!:D
