Warnings that make you wonder

I have gotten in the habit of reading the warnings in the instructions that come with items that I purchase. Some are just common sense and others just make you wonder. You know some one had to do this and tried to sue the company or there wouldn't be a warning. Here is an example. I just bought a new weight distribution hitch for my truck. In the instructions under WARNING it states "do not attempt to hook up or tow with a front wheel drive vehicle with rear wheels removed. This will cause severe instability and loss of control" I would pay money to see some one try this as long as no innocent people got hurt :thumbsup:

There's a road construction warning sign that make me laugh every time I see it here in Texas. It reads...Obey Warning Signs State Law.

So we need a warning sign to instruct us to obey the warning signs? Seems a bit redundant. I figure that whoever wrote the warning sign bill has family in the warning sign business.

Bruce I LMAO when I saw that. Now I know why the warning was on there. I don't remember ever seeing that comercial. But then again there are a lot of things from the late 70's early 80's I don't remember

I was looking at some clothes once and noticed some children's clothing "Shirts and pants" say Caution keep out of reach of Children. :laughing:

Why make clothes for children when they must be kept out of reach of them? lol

That also goes for a child's bicycle I once saw. It said to keep out of reach of children.

Oh and get this. There was this toy truck at walmart that stated NOT A TOY KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. XD I burst out laughing at that warning label.

Lack of common sense is the reason for all of the nutty warnings.

I remember this one from a comedian. This was on a tube of Preparation H, "Use only as directed!" "Trust me, if you're buying it, you know what to do with it". "But sometime in the past, some nut told his wife, Honey I wonder how this would taste on crackers!" LOL

Some of the warnings they put on new products these days are not written instructions, but pictograms with the red circle/slash through them. I have probably seen a few that made no sense to me at all.

I know what you mean. It is bad enough having warnings written in English, but to have them in symbols is just stupid.

Don't ask me what the item was, but a while back I saw a warning symbol that looked like a cucumber with a red line through it...

At least I hope it was a cucumber
