Good post Eddie. I had a GF like that . Complain about how much money I spent on race cars but had 30 pair of shoes in the closet that cost more.

Eddie,

Thank you, thank you, thank you! That may be the funniest thread I've ever seen. Only problem is I almost sprayed the monitor screen with the sip of Jack Daniels on the rocks I had just taken...Lord knows I hate to waste Jack.

Oh yeah, reminds me to go kiss my bride of nearly 16 years who has put up with me more often than I deserve. As the guy from Arkansas I worked for when I was in college used to say talking about us marrying our wives, "(fill in your name if your as lucky as me), best day's work you ever did!" And yes, I'm a lucky guy! I ought to know, it took more than one try to find her!!!

I'd like to get an update from the boyfriend. :)
The angry rant reply sounds like it came from the heart of a young man who's best friend fell in love and doesn't come around any more.

I hope she never replied because she's still in the shower washing his b_____

back. Dang, that was hard to get out.

Seems like a smart gal to me. The boy friend apparently isn't smart enough to fix something right the first time nor is he able to know when to cut his losses.

Any one else notice her screen name? Mkpopcorn??? Was pretty darn funny though.

Now that's funny, even my wife thought so.

It can happen just like that. I put new engine in my CJ7 and being smart I replaced the clutch in the same time to make sure I dont have to deal with it in near future. Guess what, 3 month later the ring gear on the flywheel got chewed up. I believe the starter was not engaging all the way in.
Anyway, I resisted the fix for 3 more month, on the end it was a 50:50 chance the starter would spin freely. I always had to push it a bit and kick in the second to turn the engine to some usable part of the gear ring.
Than I changed it for the winter, the part was $20, took me half a Saturday and I know for sure I can benchpress Dana300 or T-5 transmission.

That said, things can go wrong even on a good new rebuild.

Sounds like my EX-girlfriend. Hence, EX. My wife loves to get dirty, drives my tractors and helps me service the vehicles. She gets all giddy pouring in the new oil. She's too funny.

Definitely the absolute best responce I've ever seen to a post. The girl that posted, just wanted someone to tell her boyfriend to give up on the jeep. She made that very clear.

I'd say the guy (wgirvine) has had some serious issues in his own life which he has dragged into that forum, none of which was relevant to the OP's questions. The OP was polite, and nothing she said warranted wgirvine going off on her like that. All it sounded like to me was she was concerned her b/f was going to spend a lot of his own hard earned cash needlessly on the pos jeep and wanted to see if her view of the situation was shared by others. I'm sure if the OP had said "My good buddy" in stead of "my b/f", wgirvine's answer would have been totally different. If she had been anything like what wgirvine would have us all believe she is, it's highly unlikely she would have even posted the question in the first place.

Or, She could be looking for "fuel for the fire" and say that even other Jeep owners think she is right.... Who knows... but it is a darn funny post for sure.
