I've been looking for a yanmar tiller for my YM1500D, but it seem that a YM tiller is a hard creature to find in these parts.

Anyone got any leads?

Where have you been looking? Most Yanmar importers should have a few sitting around. Try Yanmar Tractor Parts, Sales, Service, and Delivery.

I know what you're saying..... there none up here in New England either. I see them on Ebay.... but as luck would have it, they always seem to be in California.

Hoye does not have any on their website, but since I'm getting ready to order a few parts, I was going to email/call them anyway about it. They are actually the only yanmar people that are within driving distance of me, though they are a the edge of the range I am willing to drive.

There have been a few on ebay from MO, but by the time I paid the $250 shipping, and another $150 for a PTO shaft....

I know Ernie always have a few tillers for sale. My understanding is many/most of the gray market Yanmars come with tillers but dealer my not include with tractor sale. Maybe this all depends upon who the broker is in Japan.

I bought my tiller about 6 mos after purchasing the tractor. Bought both from Ernie.

You might try Craig Hurst ( craigr@pldi.net ) just over the border in OK. He is a direct importer of very clean equipment. When I bought my 2000B from him, he told me tillers were $300. I can get you his phone # if you think you might be interested. Can also hook you up with very reasonable shipping if it's out of you driving range. He turned out to be closer than Hoye for me.
