I’m looking for help locating front pinion and ring gears for a Yanmar YM169D. Apparently these parts are no longer available. Any ideas would be appreciated. Also any thoughts on having old gears repaired. Thanks!

Sheaffer used to post that he could have any gear made ... at a [substantial] price. I haven't seen mention of it for a long time.

Sheaffer used to post that he could have any gear made ... at a [substantial] price. I haven't seen mention of it for a long time.

There are any number of gear suppliers or machinists around, but the former need the specifications, and I think that the latter aren't exactly cheap as the tooling isn't trivial. With CNC mills, it is getting easier, but not necessarily cheaper.
