A torque tube is a 6"or 8" piece of pipe that is welded under the deck of the trailer between the frame members which is supposed to keep the trailer from flexing or twisting when loaded heavy to one side, I had heard a lot of different things about it, but was told by several people that with a pierced frame that you really didn't need it unless you went with a really long trailer, I tried it the other day in the field and loaded one side all the way prior to loading the other and nothing tilted budged of flexed, I won't make it a habit now I will load it evenly as I go about loading the trailer, but I had to try it.

No I would say these rolls are closer to 800 lbs a piece.

It wasn't scary at all, I live out in the country and my hayfield is about 1/4 mile from the barn, I'm not pulling it in heavy traffic.
