Ok got running gear and that is about it. Ordered bed lumber (white oak) and beams. Need a big box of big carriage bolts this locks and nut, just need to go get. rims at tire store for used tires. With running gear came what looks to be u- channel steel sheet metal side edging. It has stake pockets in it? it is about 4 inches all three sides and has little tabs by some of the holes. It is in pretty good shape but not sure how to use it. Will post pictures when I get home. Little help?

is it fairly heavy wall stuff? like quarter inch thich. Without a picture I'm just guessing but it might be a bolster for one end of rack. It would be mounted on one axle so it can rock when the tires are in a deadfurrow or hole, like a teeter totter. That's my guess.

Welcome, I've learned a lot here in two months. Mostly I've learned I have a lot to learn. Are you a long time tractor owner or new to all this? Either way I'm sure you will enjoy this site.

Nah 12 gauge of less sheet metal really, like a rub rail 16 ft long u channel with stake holes to hold the sides I guess. I would like to have the stakesides available and can make them no problem but if I attach the edging to the deck planking the holes will be filled in by the decking Should I notch the 1"decking to make room for the stakes to slip thru or drill it out I wish I could seen how it was done back in the day. Please see pictures uploaded below

Thanks
