Hi guys, what model would you guys recommend for a 60acre farm. My farm is hilly, so keep that in mind. I would like an all around tractor. I want a backhoe att to fix broken tiles, plow, plant and bail my hay. This will be my first jd. Im almost dead set on jd, but ill let your knowledge guide me. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this. Take care.

Welcome to the forum.
Your decision will need to include the equipment you plan to get for baling (small square, large square, round) and plowing (all 60 acres?). But a 60 - 100 hp tractor should cover most tasks.
Just wondering if you want to try doing everything with just one tractor, or have a couple around to aid in sharing equipment. Like the backhoe on a small 40 hp tractor that doesn't have to be removed when the haying needs to be done.

I would like to have just one for all. Round bailler. I do everything myself. Ill be buying all or most att used. Im not opposed to buying a used tractor either. 45acres plow, and 15acres grass. thanks guy

smallest I would go is a 4520. the 4520 may be to light for the baler from a size/weight point though. I would think that the 5000 series would be better. Somewhere around 75hp is where I would begin to look.
