Wife Aunt bought a Kubota 40hp. Used it on the ranch for 14 yrs. Took it into a dealer for service. He said folks paying top dollar for this tractor right now, covid and all. She sold it to him for what she paid for it and went home with a new Kubota. You can't say that about many tractors.
Personally I like Kubota. Good to know there is a dealership I can walk into for parts nearby but I want a tractor that never needs repairs. 2 kubota dealers within 15 miles. Both been there 25 + yrs.

I was the same way.
Bought my 2 year old Kubota B7610, put a backhoe on it. Goes through the woods easy, but doesn't carry enough. After a few years, and obtaining a house w/ 73 acres, bought my Kubota M4700. My woods are mostly ~40 year+ old stands of deciduous. The B7610 fits through rather easily, the M4700 fits thru after I convince some trees to lay down.
Don't use them much now, but total cost (including parts and repairs) has been ~$30K. I've had to buy a couple of front tires for both, got 2 hydraulic cylinders repaired, replaced about 5 hydraulic lines. All repairs pretty simple, especially with the great support on TBN.

Big drawback to the Yanmar yt359 is how lightweight it’s built for a 59 hp tractor. Cab tractor only weighs about 3400lbs , loader and bucket only adds about 1100. Total bare tractor and loader about 4500. My Open station CIH dx35 , only 35 hp weighs that much.
Contrast that with a JD 5055E bare tractor 7000lbs , loader with bucket adds 2000lbs plus . Total about 9000lbs . Twice the weight! Which puts in in a way more capable category for about same money.
Below are the specs, note the yt359 is listed with Full Fluid filled tires so you have to deduct about 1000lbs.

Yanmar provides loaded tires free of charge on new tractors. Would like to run one across the scales to verify.

I’d be curious to run one across scales too. I recently purchased a YT359c and I was assuming the 4500lbs didn’t include the loader or filled tires. I’ve been looking at new trailers to deal with the weight. If the 4500 lbs include loaded tires and FEL, adding my mower puts the total at 5700 lbs. If it doesn’t include loaded tires and FEL, it’ll be closer to 8k. Makes a huge difference in my trailer selection as I’d like to go gooseneck and my truck is only rated at 11k towing.

The info I got was right from Yanmar’s own Brochure, usually tractor manufacturers don’t short change themselves when it comes to specs. Find the pdf of they’re brochure on line and have a look . It also includes all loader specs.
Oddly tractor data doesn’t give a weight for the yt359.
The rear axle and also transmission is a area where quite a bit of weight can be gained or lost. I’ve never seen the 359 up close to look.
The tire the brochure specs as fully loaded is the R4 industrial. Also don’t know if there ballasting just the rears or all 4. I assume just rears.
I’m a big fan of Yanmar, great history of high quality and engineering.

If I was going to buy a new tractor today, the YanmarYT359 would be at the top of the list, because of Yanmar quality and the IMHT transmission (best in class). NS series Kiotis would also be on the top of the list (most bang for the buck). I think your dealer recommendation is a good one. Here is how I assess tractor brands.

I like my LS, but with current supply chain issues, might pass on that for the immediate future. Advantage is if it crosses to a NH model, most of the parts can be had cheaper by adding MT to front of the part number. (you might need to do the work yourself as you would probably fall to bottom of the list at any non-LS dealer for work)

Same size place; I bought a Yanmar YM347A.
I went to local dealer who sells Kioti and Yanmar. Deal was much better and tractor was overall larger than comparable K. I love this tractor. Higher ground clearance, larger frame, larger wheels, Cat I and Cat II hookup, greater lifting capabilities, and comes with one rear remote. I had an additional rear factory remote added, as well as a factory front diverter for grapple work. Also, it has a 4 cylinder regularly aspirated (non-turbo) engine.

Very pleased.

Yes, but both of your examples are compact tractors, not utility tractors.

Lots of good input here. My 30hp MAHINDRA does all the light work, my 60hp KUBOTA MX does the heavier work. Both have been problem free tractors. Both bought from dealers nearby. Parts support is better with Kubota. Those are my inputs for choosing - dealer support & parts availability for YOUR location.
