Yeah ,same here. Terry told me as far as it being detrimental to the machine at all, it’s not. It’s not detrimental because there’s a charge pump that fills the void of whatever oil was lost. Which in our case is small amounts. I’ve been around hydraulic equipment for a while now, and I learned what Hydraulic leaks to be concerned about and which ones to not be concerned. One thing is guaranteed if you own a hydraulic machine, eventually there’s going to be leaks.

Spread fertilizer on 3 acres and clover seed on 1 acre of bare ground. PT-425 ran like a champ...and I'm actually surprised at how little fuel it consumed doing it too.

Remember those 1980s TV satellite antennas? My dad poured this chunk of concrete around 1980 for the base of one of those TV antennas. Does this picture look realistic?

Only if you lifted your dad up there and not that concrete.

It’s basically a 5’ cube of concrete. We got in an excavator with a fairly large trac hoe to dig it out, but his machine wouldn’t lift it. He drug it to the trailer then flipped it on.

I think that is the secret sauce of being a good equipment operator; not how many pounds can your machine lift, but what can you do with it. Great story.

That looks like a 150mph ground mount for a 40' mast. That's like half a concrete truck of concrete.

I agree; for a 40’ mast. This TV antenna was only about 7’ high. I said, “My word Dad, what were you thinking when you over built this?” It turned out to be a White Elephant as well.

nice work. Does it crush down to sand-like material where the vehicle wheels travel over time?

I started with some number 3 stone in the wet spots. Then I went to number 57 stone so u can drive over it. I might finish it with crush and run. At least that is what they call it in Virginia.
It is compacting nicely and driving on the 57 stone is no issue. The 57 stone doesn't really turn to sand but if you want the sandy finish you can add some crush and run on top or some stone dust on top and u will have a tight driveway as it will really lock in the 57 stone.
My soil isn't too bad so I didnt feel like I needed any geotextile fabric underneath.
