How do we keep ROPS up?

ROPS = Roll Over Protection System

In the first few pics it's folded down. It's safest to keep it up whenever your operating the machine, and wear the seat-belt also...

The machine looks Like it's in good shape, I am sure you'll be happy with it:D

Very nice tractor !! Look I don't want to sound like the tractor police, but anyone or everyone on your farm should read the manual, and become TOTALLY familar with all it's funtions and safe handling. Be Safe.. Frank

Fine looking machine, Eric! And, I think you got a heck of a good deal...wish I'd find a 4300 at that good a price!

Thanks for the pics too...they were great

Since no one else answered the question about keeping the ROPS up (or I missed an answer), you should have pins that fit into holes that line up when the ROPS is up. If they aren't with the tractor, just pick up a pair at your local Deere dealer.

Enjoy your tractor! Well...ALL of you guys enjoy it!

And while you're there, remember to smack them upside the head with one of those foam John Deere beer cozies for letting you take possession of the tractor without thorougly covering the basics of its operation, esp. the safety factors, and without making sure the ROPS pins are there.

He and family bought the tractor from an individual, not a dealer. JC

My dad said they took the ROPS down for less wind obstruction on the two hour drive back to our property. When they got there they put it back up. (Picture 5) My uncle and dad talk to mike for our 45 minutes on the basics of the tractor... I again, was not there due to work obligations. But, I have been checking out the three manuals we got from Mike. Thanks guys on the compliments on the tractor... I still cant believe we finally got one. I will post some pics when we go to the property this weekend and put some hours on it.
