Do you use the clutch when shifting? Andy at Yanmar says I should; everyone else, including my dealer and many other dealers on YouTube and Yanmar's website, says clutchless. If you can find A Yanmar dealer anywhere close sounds like the YT359 would be perfect and you will really like the IHMT tranny, I traded my Case 45C in on this and it has twice the power and I have the YT347 which has a little smaller engine but it is a great tractor with a ten year warranty at a reasonable price. Good luck.
you can use it but it isn't required but it does make it easy to shift the range lever and if you want to ease into a tight spot but for normal use it is like a forklift or back hoe just shift into forward or reverse and it works really well.Do you use the clutch when shifting? I picked up a Yanmar ym342 a few months ago. It's been fantastic. I do some bucket work. Clutching has been a non issue. Zero inconvenience. And, the heavier frame, lift capacity is great. Thanks for all of the replies. I have been impressed with the Yanmar. I haven't seen one or know of any dealers, but I do know they have good engines and make tractors with brands other than Yanmar.
