"View First Unread" not working sometimes

This feature is a great feature when it works. But it seems to break for me, mostly on the larger threads.
For example the Good Morning thread (66,679 posts).

Sometimes it takes me down in the thread to the right place, sometimes just to the top of the last page or the previous page even though I had read far past there on an earlier visit.

Is there any setting I can change so it will work on the longer threads? I've got mostly standard settings except I went to 40 lines per page.

Sometimes it doesn't work right. The times it doesn't seem to come in small bundles.

This is also happening to me sometimes. When it does I click the "View First Unread" above the first post and it goes to the first unread post. :thumbsup:
