Been using this VFD to power a buffer for several years and now wanting to use it for a three phase motor on my lathe. I'm curious what the terminals are for that are circled in red. Any ideas? TIA

Picture is really blurry

+ and - on a VFD typically is the DC bus internally.

Did you click on the thumbnail?

The four terminal markings left to right are: (/) +1 + -

The two middle ones are jumpered together.

It is a Polyspede brand but they were apparently acquired by Hitachi. The Polyspede number is XLT5-20 (2.0 HP) and the Hitachi number is L100-015NFU. I have the manual as well as a quick reference manual but neither show these terminals.

I'm wondering if those terminals are for an external braking resistor. Would that make sense?

That's pretty common as well.

Normally the manual will spell out what the terminals are.

Uh, on most of these type devices, they aren't for you to mess with... :)
Truly, Stick with the front terminals. Just sayin
